Changes

We have actually been busy doing summer fun stuff, I just keep forgetting my camera... so posts to come. However, today I would like to tell you all about some changes for me and the quorum. Last week, I was offered a full-time position at the College. This is an immense blessing for us. We will now have medical and dental insurance! Imagine that! I plan to be more self-sufficient (I hope). I will be working with a great department, here. I will have doors open to me and my kids and we will be blessed... wish us luck on our new adventure!!!

The Netherlands

Wacky Wednesday at the library today took Colton to The Netherlands! He is such a good boy. His brothers were party poopers and didn't want to go! Look at that creepy hat they could have made, had they gone!!!!

Swimming, Again

We remembered sunscreen this time, and the kids wore t-shirts, and they slept last night!

Sno-Cones & Hair Dye

Oh, how this Mommy LOVES sno-cones! We got our first ones yesterday! Mommy happy!

Then, it was onto hair dyeing with cousin Katie. The boys are always asking me if they can dye their hair. They see Mommy and Nana do it and want to join in. I told them that when school was out and Cub Country was over, they could do it. Last night was the night. They had a blast! It all washed out last night... oh well. Fun while it lasted!

Our Weekend

Saturday morning, the boys went over to the neighbor's house (Rex) and made a cute little bird house. We love that Rex!

Then, we went swimming...

Swimming was fun. The aftermath, not so much. The winner of the mother of the year award (not) forgot sunscreen. We were out there for five hours. Five hours + no sunscreen= MISERY. We have been rotating ibprofen and tylenol, covering people in aloe vera and crying... a lot. No sleep = grumpy, grumpy house. But, swimming was fun!

Library Adventures

The boys have activities on their calendar that include walking down to the library two or three days a week. On Wednesdays, they have "Wacky Wednesday." They get their "passport" stamped and get to do activities that include different countries. On Wednesday, their passport was stamped for China. They made Chinese lanterns and learned how to write their names in chinese. They really liked it!

Jordan River Parkway Walk

Yesterday when I got home from work, we packed backpacks with Gatorade and dinner and headed to the Jordan River Parkway for a nice afternoon "hike." The boys were troopers! They had their walking sticks, they threw rocks into the very high, very fast river (from a good distance away), they looked for scorpions and loved all of the bird nests under the overpass. It was a super fun time!
