Stegosaurus, Work Helper & JUNE

This morning, Kaydon had his dinosaur program. Kaydon did a report on the stegosaurus dinosaur. Did you know that they have the smallest brains of all dinosaurs? That would suck! This morning, Josh had a doctor appointment, so Brooklyn and I left Kaydon's program and came to work. Together. She LOVES going to work. She colors on my white board, after erasing important information, she gets her markers and draws on HER paper, she drinks my Diet Coke! :) I LOVE JUNE!!! It's my birthday month and I REALLY LOVE my birthdays! To begin June, Josh and I are driving down to St. George tomorrow after work. His team is playing down there on Saturday. He probably will not be playing because his injuries haven't yet healed... but don't hold your breath. If he can find a way to be out there, he will be. I am really, really thankful that he and I can have some time just to ourselves. It's different "dating" when you have kids. The kids come first, and they should when you're dating someone. We do everything with the kids and we love it and wouldn't want it any other way. But, it's always nice when we can have grown up talk and just be able to spend time together.

The Bees Game

This girl LOVES sitting at the ball game! I even tried to make my own scorebook so that I could be a scorekeeper during the game. I flipping LOVE baseball games. My kids, not so much... I need to take care of that!

Do you want me to carry you?

This is another cute picture from Legoland. Josh found a spot where the kids could drive remote control boats made of legos around a little pond. After each of our kids had a turn, we had a couple of extra tokens left, so he gave them to a little boy who was there. This morning, I had a really tough time with my back. I had to crawl into the bathroom to get into the shower because my back wouldn't allow me to stand up. I stretched and plowed through my morning. Sitting at work, with my heating pad on. Josh text me and asked me if I wanted him to come to carry me around. I told him that he always carries me, even when he doesn't realize it. And he does. On Sunday, I woke up late. Like, really late. I went upstairs and there he was with a Diet Coke for me. He had taken Jackson to church, fed the others breakfast, put Braxton in his ice bath, cleaned up the mess in the family room from the boys trying to sleep on the trampoline. He went to the store to get some super glue to fix Jackson's broken glasses, then made dinner. Yep, I did NOTHING. Didn't even shower. It was so nice to just be taken care of. I appreciated it so much. I appreciate him so much. I appreciate that no matter how long the winter, spring ALWAYS comes.

Our Gimpish Weekend

Last Saturday night, during Josh's game in Logan, he tore two calf muscles and irritated an unhealed PCL tear. He is out of work for two weeks and is not able to play. He and I went to watch his team play on Saturday night. It was REALLY hard on him not to play. He has always played through injuries, but this on has got the best of him. The second half, he took over the offenseive coordinator duties. I about vomited. It made me so nervous! But, he rocked!! He was incredible at coaching and it made him feel like he was really involved. He did awesome! Before the game on Saturday, Ryan called me to tell me that there had been an accident at the trampoline park and asked me to meet him at Davis Hospital. I got there to see my sweet Braxton in a lot of pain. His ankle did NOT look so hot! Diagnosis: very bad sprain, with possible damage to the growth plate. He is in a boot and on crutches. Colton has a black eye, currently. He was playing on a playground and feel onto a chain. Awesome!

One Last Vacation Picture & A Night at the Park

I love this picture of all of us, besides Logan and Skipper, at Legoland. Everyone is actually looking at the camera! It was such a great vacation... wish we could do it like once a month!! :) Wednesday night, we took the kids for a picnic at the park. The kids played and played. Have I mentioned how Brooklyn plays tag? She points to you and says 'you're it' and you better be it, or else! It cracks me up! After the park, we went to Baskin Robbins for ice cream. I told the kids that this was me and Josh's first date... they didn't seem to care much, but I was a little sentimental about it. So what?! Everytime Josh got up to get some napkins, or to grab Brooklyn out of the freezer with the cakes, I would sneak great big bites of his banana royale! SO much yummier than my double scoop of ice cream in a cup! ;)

Vacation Day Six

Day six, we woke up in San Diego. Everyone sort of went there own directions. It was really important to Josh and I that we take the kids to see the U.S.S. Midway. I am SO glad we did! It was incredible. The kids loved it, too. We were able to tour the entire ship, which is a retired aircraft carrier. The kids were able to climb into planes that were on the ship and the boys were able to go into the simulators. It was a beautiful day and the kids were super excited to see the Pacific Ocean from atop the carrier. Afterwards, Papa and Grandma met up with us and we had a picnic right next to the carrier. Then, we headed back to Las Vegas for the night. Early Saturday morning, we got the kids up and headed home so that Josh and I could make it up to his game Saturday night in Logan. It was the best vacation. The kids were really, really great in the car. I think that we were able to make memories to last a lifetime, and it was so worth it! Thank you to Papa and Grandma for an amazing trip!

Vacation Day Five

Day five was spent in Oceanside, at Legoland. Fun little place that was! There are lots of cute little statues, made out of legos. There are also several rides, but oddly enough, the waits were MUCH longer than Disneyland, so we didn't get to do a whole lot of rides. Brooklyn did get her face painted and all of the kids walked out of there with cool legos to build. After Legoland, we drove to San Diego. We met up with my brother, Logan, and brother-in-law, Skip. The kids love their uncles. We met up in Old Town San Diego for dinner. It was a long day, but the kids did great. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel for some much-needed sleep! Fun day!
