Oh BOY!

Oh, the boys! Have I mentioned lately that having four boys is CHAOS. It is. FYI.
Yesterday, mom and I got home from work and were introduced to the "new" downstairs. Braxton had taken beds apart, moved them, and put them back together. He also moved dressers and who knows what else! Okay. Awesome.
Colton told cousin Katie today, "Dinosaurs eat meat. I am meat. I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!" Too much tv?!?!
Jackson informed me that he can't be responsible for Colton. Neither can I!!!!!
Kaydon... well Kaydon is just Kaydon!!!!

The Boys' Camping Trip

Last weekend, the boys went camping with their dad. Besides the hundreds of mosquito bites, they had a great time!

Have you seen this?

I have! One and a half times! Don't ask... Anywho, this movie is amazing and inspiring and it touched me on many different levels. If you don't know, it's a story (true story) of a girl, named Bethany, who is a surfer. She had her left arm bit off by a shark. She continued to surf, and became a professional surfer with one arm. What I love about this beautiful blonde girl is that she is faithful. She loves the Lord and knows that she is blessed in many different ways.

She talks about things like:
1. Don't give up, because you never know what the next wave might bring.
2. We can do all things, through our Savior.
3. It's all about perspective.

I got mail yesterday from Miss Birdie! It's my favorite kind of mail. In it, she wrote about persepective. She told me to take a minute and look back one year. Look at how far I have come!! Oh, so far. I am no longer drowning. I am actually holding my head above water! It's not easy, and I have my down moments, but my head is above water and I am doing it! One year ago, I was not able to do that. One year ago, I was in bad shape. But now, I am waiting to see what the next wave might bring!

Letter to my boys

Dear Children of Mine-

I know this has been a hard couple of weeks. Instead of coming home at 2:30, Mommy doesn't get home until 5:00, just in time to make dinner, clean up messes, run errands, and smooth over any and all fights that took place for the nine hours I was gone. The calendar I made for you doesn't seem to be doing the trick. You still find ways to do nothing but sit in front of the tv. Oh well. At least you're safe there.

I miss you! I miss doing activities with you for those couple of hours before dinner time. I am so tired when I get home, now, that it's all I can do to get you a decent meal. Oh well. At least you're fed, by me.

I know you miss me, too, because each of you seems to be taking a turn sleeping in my bed at night. Your bad dreams have increased, again, and all you want is to cuddle with Mommy. I hope that never ends! I love that you know that you can come into Mommy and I will comfort you and protect you and make your bad dreams go away. Whenever I have to go to the store, you ALL want to come with me. You just want to be with me all the time. I love that.

I hope you know how much I love you. I work very hard for you, so that you can have what you need. We are a team. You know that. I have told you before that we are a unit. Mommy will always work hard for you. I will always comfort you and protect you.

You get to have sleepovers at Papa and Grandma's tomorrow. You will love seeing your cousins and staying up all night! Then, you get to go camping with your dad for the weekend. It will be so great for you to be out in the wide open and to explore and get dirty and discover new things. I will miss you, though. I will long for the minute you get home.

I am proud of you. I love you. Each of you is so special to me! I will always be the luckiest mommy in the whole wide world!

Love,
Mommy

Updates

Mommy- I still have a job! It's going pretty well. I am very overwhelmed, but the days go by so fast! I work with great people, and I am grateful.

Jackson- He told me today that he is going to learn spanish from his friend's dad, who only speaks spanish. Great! Now I will have help at Walmart and McDonalds!

Braxton- He threw up all over the back seat of the car last night, but tried to catch it in his clothes so I "wouldn't have to clean it up." Oh, the peanut! Then, he threw up more all night. Kaydon and Colton seemed fascinated by it and wanted to watch as he came out. Nice.

Kaydon- He was playing basketball in the front yard with his briefs and a t-shirt on a couple of nights ago. When Nana asked him what the heck he was doing, he informed her that they were his summer shorts! Don't judge him.

Colton- He told us a great story about how we shouldn't take Gunner on a walk to any park where there is a white truck because it's probably animal control and they will give us a ticket for "like $600 or maybe $300 or something a lot like that." What?!

Oh, the BOYS!

How lucky am I?! I had a sort of kind of REALLY rough day yesterday. I went home and told my boys all about it. So what?! They told me that I'm still pretty. LOVE that! Then, they told me we should go out to dinner. OKAY! So what?! Then, they mowed the lawn (without being asked) and washed my car in the rain (without being asked) and tucked me in and brought me my heating pad and told me that they loved me.

Oh, the BOYS! I love my babies!
