Stegosaurus, Work Helper & JUNE

This morning, Kaydon had his dinosaur program. Kaydon did a report on the stegosaurus dinosaur. Did you know that they have the smallest brains of all dinosaurs? That would suck! This morning, Josh had a doctor appointment, so Brooklyn and I left Kaydon's program and came to work. Together. She LOVES going to work. She colors on my white board, after erasing important information, she gets her markers and draws on HER paper, she drinks my Diet Coke! :) I LOVE JUNE!!! It's my birthday month and I REALLY LOVE my birthdays! To begin June, Josh and I are driving down to St. George tomorrow after work. His team is playing down there on Saturday. He probably will not be playing because his injuries haven't yet healed... but don't hold your breath. If he can find a way to be out there, he will be. I am really, really thankful that he and I can have some time just to ourselves. It's different "dating" when you have kids. The kids come first, and they should when you're dating someone. We do everything with the kids and we love it and wouldn't want it any other way. But, it's always nice when we can have grown up talk and just be able to spend time together.

Vacation Day Six

Day six, we woke up in San Diego. Everyone sort of went there own directions. It was really important to Josh and I that we take the kids to see the U.S.S. Midway. I am SO glad we did! It was incredible. The kids loved it, too. We were able to tour the entire ship, which is a retired aircraft carrier. The kids were able to climb into planes that were on the ship and the boys were able to go into the simulators. It was a beautiful day and the kids were super excited to see the Pacific Ocean from atop the carrier. Afterwards, Papa and Grandma met up with us and we had a picnic right next to the carrier. Then, we headed back to Las Vegas for the night. Early Saturday morning, we got the kids up and headed home so that Josh and I could make it up to his game Saturday night in Logan. It was the best vacation. The kids were really, really great in the car. I think that we were able to make memories to last a lifetime, and it was so worth it! Thank you to Papa and Grandma for an amazing trip!

Vacation Day Five

Day five was spent in Oceanside, at Legoland. Fun little place that was! There are lots of cute little statues, made out of legos. There are also several rides, but oddly enough, the waits were MUCH longer than Disneyland, so we didn't get to do a whole lot of rides. Brooklyn did get her face painted and all of the kids walked out of there with cool legos to build. After Legoland, we drove to San Diego. We met up with my brother, Logan, and brother-in-law, Skip. The kids love their uncles. We met up in Old Town San Diego for dinner. It was a long day, but the kids did great. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel for some much-needed sleep! Fun day!

Vacation Days Three & Four

Disneyland Baby! Days three and four were spent at the Greatest Place on Earth! The third day started with a breakfast with the characters. This was SO great!I would strongly recommend this to anyone with little ones. Brooklyn was SO great. She was little Miss In Charge! She would put one hand on her hip and motion "come here" with her other hand, then she would loudly say, "COME HERE Mimmie Mouse!" I loved it. The kids got to get autographs from the characters and dance with them. Then, we headed to the park for two days. I didn't take pictures of rides because I was on them with the kids! But, just know that we loved it. Brooklyn made me go on the rocket ride with her about 369 times... DRAMAMINE! The boys went on the Tower of Terror. No thanks! It was really, really great.
