So Sweet

I am obsessed with this picture that I caught on Saturday.
This is Grandpa Wright.
He is the grandpa of sweet Wesley.
Wes and Ryker have played all the sports together for years.
These two have such a sweet little bond.

Isis posted this picture of Jackalacka yesterday.
This is such a great shot of him doing what he does - everything!

He sent me this yesterday.
Daddy and Melanie Rose went to church yesterday.
She is so beautiful!

Thursday Night Lights

I got lucky last night!
I stayed with Ryker at his scrimmage.
I am always with Ryker on Thursdays at his football.
Burke goes to Cooper's.
Ryker got done with his at Cooper's halftime, so we got to go watch the second half.
It was amazing!
Cooper is having such a strong year... looking special at Defensive End.

Burke bought he and I heated chairs.
Come track season, and the last part of football seasons, and the beginning of baseball seasons - it's going to be SO great!

We won 28-20.

In other news, whilst at Ryker's scrimmage, my bestest little friend Emmy came calmly walking to her mommy and I completely covered in blood.
COVERED in blood.
Head to toe.
Emmy is three.
She is SO full of life.
She laid on the ground while her mommy and I cleaned her up with baby wipes.
Then she danced back off to the playground like it was nothing but a thing!

Sunrises

It was an early morning!
Thursday and Friday mornings, Braxton drops Hudson off at 5:20 AM.
Then Mia picks him up at 6:20 AM.
She works nights and Daddy has to be to work at 6 AM.
This morning was our first morning doing this.
Hudson is a sleeper.
He usually wakes up between 10 and 11 AM.
I thought for sure he'd be sleepy and just get into bed with Papa and I and go back to bed.
NOPE.
Home Boy took it upon his dang self to wake everyone up!
He was so happy!!

This sunrise was on my way to work this morning.
My goodness, it's so beautiful.

I headed to work right after I dropped Coop off at high school.
Dropping kids off at high school is literally a REAL course in defensive driving!

Last night, Ryker needed time.
He climbed into bed with me to study for his math test.
It's one of my favorite things.

First Grade

Miss Aria Jane got her school pictures back.
She has the cutest toothless grin.
She's loving first grade!

We had our snowplow conference yesterday.
Love my guys!

Boys

Now that Hudson and Hendrix are both walking, it is becoming more and more obvious that they are going to be double trouble!!
They try to feed each other.
Put straws in each other's eyes.
Throw balls at each other's faces.
"Share" their food by throwing it at each other.
They are SO fun!

SO big!
Walking and yelling constantly.
Gibberish from babies is the cutest!

Hendrix has decided that Uncle Cooper is pretty cool.
Hudson has known that since the day he was born!

Kaya thinks Aria is the best.
Aria IS the best!

Last Thursday, there was a freak incident at Cooper's football game.
I am so grateful to announce that Logan is doing fine and returned to school on Friday!

And, HEYYYY red!
Cute Madi, at Avalon Institute, did my hair on Saturday morning.
I'm still getting used to it.
It's VERY red.
But, I'm grateful for creativity and imagination!

Homemade

Burke is a master at sending me TikToks.
A lot of TikToks.
One of them was a recipe for homemade white bread.
So, I made two loaves on Sunday morning.
They were both gone by Monday.
So I made two more yesterday.
At dinner time, Ryker asked if he could just have bread for dinner.
Proof that these are winners!!

Yesterday was Day 6 at the gym.
I am dedicated to my physical movement again.
I took an unplanned hiatus from the gym.
Then I got into my feels, felt unworthy of going to the gym because I gained some weight...
Blah Blah Blah.
Well, Gigi is back!
Moving my body feels so good and brings me so much gratitude.

While Burke was at Cooper's game last night, he texted me regular updates... per usual.
Cooper had a 20-yard-loss sack.
Cooper had a fumble recovery.
Cooper missed a tackle.
Score updates.
Then...
Player is down and it is not good...
Waiting on ambulance...
Bo is in the middle of the two teams, saying a prayer.
Then the picture.

Logan was hit.
He landed face down and did not get up.
There was a small update last night from the hospital:
CT scan of his neck is good.
Waiting to go in for x-rays on his spine.
He is aware and asking about the game.

As soon as I woke up, I went right to Group Me and asked how he was doing this morning.
X-rays and scans all came back good.
He has a sprained trapezius muscle.
That is the triangular muscle that spans the neck, shoulders, and upper back.
He is in pain, but he will be ok!!

Thank goodness!

Game Film

We are struggling with Ryker and football this year.
He has amazing coaches who have talked to Burke and I and are trying so hard to help him.
Ryker is just not into it.
He isn't really into anything but his phone right now.

Last night, Burke had to go over game film with him.
I genuinely felt sorry for Burke.
I knew that he was going to get 11 year old attitude.
He did.
But he just patiently stuck with it.
By the time they got around to it, it was dark.
People were in bed.
But he got it done.

I always try to remind the boys how lucky they are to have a dad who sacrifices everything for them.

Over the Years

Over the years...
My Boys & I.
(I hate that Braxton and Colton are cut off in this picture. Can't seem to fix it. This is a mama with her 2, 3, 4, and 6 year olds)
On one of our snow cone runs... all tie-dyed up!
I would guess they are 6,7,8, and 10.

In California...
I would guess 8,9.10, and 12.

In Layton.
I would guess 10,11,12, and 14.

For Jackson's mission pictures in Layton.
14,15,16, and 18.

Present day!
Syracuse.
21,22,23, and 25.

I never envisioned THIS.
All of this!

Don't Blink

Burke ran the scoreboard for me on Saturday at Ryker's game.
Squish does whatever Papa is doing.
Therefore, Squish helped run the scoreboard.
Note: His Titans shirt was not tie-dyed prior to drinking his Gatorade.

After the games, Cooper sat with Dad to do game film.
Uncle Cooper was taking notes on film.
Hudson wanted to "help."
I had to get him his own notebook and pencil so that he could also "take notes."

Literally wherever Papa is, doing whatever he's doing... even helping set up the gate to keep HIM out of trouble!

Hendrix was sleepy on Sunday.
So was Papa.
It worked out perfectly!

Muffin had a nasty eye infection last week.
It looks SO MUCH BETTER.

Also, he is going to be Chucky for Halloween.
Perfect!
