Hockey Night

Burke & I, along with the two youngest, went to the Utah Hockey Club game last night.
We were spoiled.
We were taken down the stairs (two flights of stairs) to a very fancy area.
We were given badges and partook in a huge buffet:
Shrimp
Prime Rib
Chicken
Twice Baked Potatoes
Vegetables
Fruit
Salad
Rolls

Then we were taken to the front row of the special-badge area.
It was right behind the net.
There was nothing between us and the glass.
It was pretty intense and it was VERY fun.

During each intermission, there were desserts and snacks back in the fancy room with the fancy things.
The boys loved it!

Ryker is in this stage where I actually have questioned if we should leverage his comedic talents to pay for his sports!

There was a man outside near this sign.
He was taking everyone's pictures.
He was SO nice!

And then...
Cooper drove us home.
No one was injured in the ride of our lives!

Girl Time

On Monday, I headed down to Pleasant Grove early to be with my girls!
Melanie was the only one awake when I arrived... besides their mommy and their daddy.
She is the happiest little chunk I ever did meet!!!!
She is so smiley and just coos.
I loved having some one-on-one time with her for an hour, or so.

When the big girls woke up, Gigi fixed them some eggs and combed through hair.
Diapers changed, girls dressed...
We decorated pumpkin cookies.
By "decorate," I mean Kehlani decorated and Delilah ate.

Delilah wanted to have one of Gigi's Diet Cokes!
She was pretending to drink it - upside down.
She was my snuggly girl while Melanie slept!
I ate it up!

These girls are just SO amazing!
I have missed them so much.
Papa misses them so much.
He FaceTimed us like four times!
Kehlani did not understand why Papa had to work and couldn't come play!

Champions

Saturday was the Bowl Championship.
It was at the beautiful Juan Diego Stadium.
It was a perfect day.
We parents did a white-out in support of our boys, with posters and banners.
We were LOUD and PROUD.

These boys took home the ring!

Hendrix and Aria were there to cheer them on, too!

The ring.
It's pretty legit!!!!!!

Sludge & Slippers

Sweet Isis Girl had surgery this morning.
Her gall bladder has been less than friendly.
It's gonzo!

I have no doubt that she is so grateful to have peace-outted this gall bladder of hers!

In other news, these arrived yesterday.
Burke ordered some slippers for me.
You guys!!!!
They are SO comfy AND they have hard bottoms, so I can go ANYWHERE in them!!

Lockdown

These texts are not only scary, they are heartbreaking.
This is the world that our kids live in now.
And then for them just to go back to their day like nothing happened...
It's so "normal" that it's just another day.

The school sent an email to us a little while after this text conversation with Coop.
No gun.
The kid assaulted faculty & administration and was arrested.

I can't imagine what it's going to be like when my grand babies are in school...

Speaking of grand babies, look at these beauties!!!
I LOVE when Isis sends me pictures and videos of these girlies.
I get to spend the day with them on Monday!
Their mama has surgery tomorrow.
Please say a prayer for her!

Sunsets

Rian sent me these pictures of the sun setting last night.
All of my kids know that I adore the sunsets!
I love the colors and the peaceful emotions that sunsets bring to my entire body!

It's so dark in the mornings now.
Just a couple more weeks and it will be dark at night, too.
Ugh.

Playoff Game #2 Win

Oh, these boys!
They went into playoff game #2 and WON.
But, there's more.

Marcus, #42, has improved enormously this year.
He is darling.
He has heart and soul!
His mama messaged the group on Saturday morning - Marcus was so sick, he could hardly walk.
He wouldn't be at the game.
I went to their house to pick up our banner.
Mama was crying.
Daddy was crying.
Marcus was crying.
I asked his mama to have him record a message to the team, then I raced to the game.
When I got there, I handed my phone to the coaches.
They had the boys watch the video pre-game.
These boys played for #42.
In fact, they WON with a score of 42!!!
He made his daddy come to the game.
He shared a message with the team post-game.
Tears all around!

We are in the bowl championship next Saturday and couldn't be more excited!
Prepared for it with an early morning agility practice Sunday morning!

Gigi's Boys

I love these boys.
Muffin (Hendrix) has become a Gigi's boy!
I love that more than you know.
It's rare for the grandbabies to want Gigi over Papa.
Like, it never happens.
Here we are, just hanging out on the kitchen floor while Gigi's bread bakes.

Hudson has been a Gigi's boy for a few months... when Papa isn't there.
He was needy on Saturday and wanted to be held most of the day.
I'm eating that up while I can!

They are getting so big!

Titans Boys

I'm not sure I'll be Team Mom again.
Like, EVER.
The boys are SO great.
I love Ryker and his friends/teammates.
A lot of them play multiple sports together and have the best time.
It's the adults I can't deal with.
After an "encounter" before the game last week, I really just want to retire from being Team Mom.
We'll see.

Last night, the other two team moms took over and had a party for the boys.
I made cookies and sent them on their way!
That's ALL.
I didn't have to be there or send reminders or ask for parents to send treats or anything!!!
These pictures say it all!
They had a blast.
Tomorrow is the semi-final of the Bowl!
We play at 9 AM.
Gooooooooo Titans!!!!
