Big Sister

I absolutely love watching Kehlani be a big sissy!

She is loving, nurturing, kind, patient, fun, and so sweet.

She is the sweetest in every way.

Drama Queen

Isis's parents are amazing at celebrating everyone's birthdays!

Jackson made her birthday cake, though!

He noted that it says, "Drama Queen."

I LOVE that she loves Strawberry Shortcake.

Cooper is 16!!!

Boo is 16!

Cooper Stephen is 16 today.

We will get his license when we get back from Mexico.

Cooper is athletic, a friend to everyone, smart, hard-working, and always a gentleman.

He makes sure I am never walking alone.

He has a hundred friends.

He loves his sports and his 49ers, Jazz, and Angels.

Cooper is a great kid, and I'm so grateful he's ours!

 

Hair Day

I had a hair day on Saturday.

It didn't quite go as expected, but all is well.

It's a bit (a lotta bit) shorter than it was supposed to be.

Four inches gone.

And, it's not the color it was "supposed" to be.

But it will be okay!

Mexico, here we come!

Our Sweet, Beautiful, Smart, Strong, Nurturing Isis Girl is 24 today!

This girl is our sunshine.

She is the most amazing wife to our Jackson and an incredibly extraordinary mama to our granddaughters.

She is SO easy to love.

Breakfast Date

On Wednesday mornings, Kaydon works at the Ogden Temple.

He called me at work this morning, asking if I wanted breakfast.

I usually don't eat my first meal until noon, but I definitely wanted to have breakfast with my Buddha.

He brought Kneaders to my office.

I had cinnamon chunk french toast.

He had an omelet.

Love this boy!

 

Countdown

I am officially counting down.

Let's be real:

I've been counting down since we got home last year.

Puerta Vallarta is SEVEN big sleeps away.

The long weekend was full of cuddles.

Ryker turns twelve next month but still cuddles with me and I never want him to stop.

We had Hudson on Saturday.

He was SO busy!

He pushed the vacuum around (off) for over an hour.

Back and forth.

Back and forth.

Then he grabbed the vac mop.

He LOVES vibrating things.

He just held the vacuum lever up for over an hour.

Until it died.

Then he grabbed the TheraGun.

Until it died.

I was out of things for him to play with at that point!

I can't get enough of Rose Bud's little animated smiles.

That's all!

Crisis Ice Cream

Victoria and I have a thing:

When things are hard at work, we always feel like crisis ice cream is in order.

And not just any ice cream - Farr's Ice Cream!

Tuesday was such a day.

Cake Batter & Cherry Chocolate Chip for the win!

Wednesday was a hard day, too.

I'd eaten all of my ice cream from Tuesday.

I got home, walked into the bedroom and saw these beauties on my vanity.

Kaydon had bought me these beautiful flowers.

Crisis flowers.

My heart about burst!

 

Poor Rosebud

Jackson and Isis sent me these sad pictures yesterday.

It seems our sweetest Rosebud is allergic to eggs.

Her little swollen face and that nasty rash made Gigi SO sad.

Kehlani is the absolute best big sissy.

She is always so comforting.

Poor Baby!

She has her nine month checkup soon and they'll ask about this allergy and any others then.

 

Slow Down

This Squirt turns twelve next month.

He starts Junior High (7th grade) in the Fall.

He's our baby.

He's my snuggle bug.

He's my cuddler.

He's my little love.

He's now almost as tall as me.

He's a lot more into hanging out with friends.

He is amping up speed and agility for sports.

I'd like if it would just slow down a bit!

 

First Annual Lovers Dinner

My cousin, Trenton, married Beautiful Jenna.

Jenna's parents have always done an annual Lovers Dinner with their adult children who are coupled.

I love seeing their pictures every year of this fun tradition.

I decided to start doing it for our adult, coupled children also.

I didn't sleep for a week prior.
I was constantly thinking about every little detail.

I sent invitations.

I noted that this was a "best dress" event.

And, I planned.

The menu was:

Caeser Salad

Beef Marinara Ziti OR Chicken Alfredo Ziti

Homemade Rolls

Trifol Cake in Chocolate Shells

The decorations were black, red, and gold.

Candlelit, of course!

I wanted to get couples pictures, was so busy serving food and pouring drinks.

I totally forgot and I regret it.

I'll do better next year!

After everyone left, I snapped pictures of myself.

I love this dress.

Some of my favorite discussions:

So many conversations about the three upcoming weddings this year.

SO many, "I love you's!"

I also can't wait until next year.

 

Papaaaaa!

I love Thursday and Friday mornings.

Braxton drops off Hudson at 5:30 AM and I get Gigi snuggles for a half hour... until we go wake up Papa.

Hudson wasn't having it this morning.

He walked in.

He grabbed a few toys.

He RAN for Papa.

He banged his toys on the bed.

He made a LOT of noise.

He wanted Papa up.

So, Papa got up.

He just wanted Papa to hold him on the couch while they watched Sesame Street.

One day he'll want to snuggle Gigi again.

 

I Could Melt

I feel my Savior's love when I look at sunrises and sunsets.

Always.

I walked out of the house Monday morning to this.

I could melt.

Isis posted this picture last night.

Jackson is the best girl dad.

Melanie, and her two sisters, love him endlessly.

They're so lucky to have him.

I could melt.

 

Baby Boys

These two.

Sunday morning, these two were trying again to get along.

It's the pushing part that isn't really jiving with "getting along."

They are the cutest.

They also both love Gigi's undivided attention.

They get that during bathtime.

So, Huds was all about taking a tub tub and playing with his bath toys.

Gigi loves these boys!
