Braxton Turns 24!!

Annnnnnd, pulling up the rear of our August birthdays is the one and ONLY Braxton!
This boy is so hard-working.
He is a plumber, running a crew all over Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah counties.
He also does side work to help out.
Hudson loves his daddy.
Braxton will always be my protector.
I'm proud of how hard he tries.

Happiest 24th birthday, my boy!
Love you endlessly!

Last Weekend's Football

Coopers varsity game was at Roy High School.
He had some great series.
Syracuse took the win!!
This sunset, though!

#95!
Can I just point out that this mama is NOT a fan of the white uniforms?!?!
SO hard to keep clean!

Ryker's Saturday game was in Centerville.
He had the cutest little fans: Aria and Hendrix.
Gigi was stuck at the score table and running (literally sprinting) back and forth between the team and the score table.
I didn't get to spend much time with the grand babies.

But they sure were cute little fans!!!

Jackson Turns 26!

This boy just gets better and better with every year that goes by!
Oh, how I love him.
My first born.
The one who made me a mama.
My little sidekick.
The one who stepped up over and over and over again as the man of our house.
The best big brother.
The most devoted husband I've ever seen.
The man who was born to be a girl dad.
Such a hard worker.
Just the best!

Happiest birthday, my boy.
I love you for forever and ever!

Bubba Turns 30!

Braxton "Bubba" turned 30 on Saturday!!
He is the oldest of this magical, chaotic bunch that we call our family.
He is Cooper and Ryker's hero.
He is Aria's favorite uncle.
He is a doting husband.
He is a loyal friend.
He is the biggest 49ers fan.
He is a supervisor at Huntsman Cancer Center, over cancer trials.
He is amazing!!

We love you!

Football Thursdays

Our Thursday started with Cooper's JV game.
Hudson loves to watch Uncle Cooper.
He doesn't love that he can't go down and play with Uncle Cooper and the ball.

Cooper had a GAME!!
Scoop and score.
Multiple sacks, including on the last play of the game when Roy was trying to score a two point conversion.
Batted balls.
Blocked kick.

Then it was to Ryker's scrimmage we went!

Then when we got home, whilst eating our Iceberg shakes, it was game film time, showering, washing uniforms, and heading to bed just to do it all again tonight and tomorrow!

Kehlani Starts Kindergarten

Kehlani had introductions on Monday.
This princess started kindergarten on Tuesday.
She is actual perfection.
Peep Delilah in the background trying to sneak into kindergarten!

Tuesday was her first day.
When Jackson sent me these pictures, I cried.
She is the sweetest, smartest, most adorable human.

Kehlani Boo, Gigi loves you.
Be your magical, shining self Sweet Girl.
Oh, the places you're going to go!

Celebrating Hendrix

Hendrix turned two earlier this month.
Then he got hand-foot-mouth disease.
We celebrated him on Sunday.
He is a busy little guy.
He gives the best hugs.
He loves balls and cars and all things boy!
We sure love him!

Back to School 2025

Yesterday was the first day of school for these two!
Cooper is a junior.
It's always so wild to me to look back at the previous years' pictures and compare them.
He's a different human this year!
Still my protector, my helper, my sweet boy.
Also a varsity defensive end, a track runner, and a messy-room keeper!

Ryker is a seventh grader.
This one stings.
He's the baby.
He's been a bit nervous.
Me too.
I HATE junior high.
Ryker is my snuggler, my joke-cracker, my non-morning kid, my magnet.
He is also a linebacker, a second baseman, a basketball player, a game-player.

Last night, we charged their laptops and readied their backpacks as much as we could.
I pray this is a good year for both of them.
I always tell them that who they choose to be in their space is one of the most important decisions they will make at their age.
Here we go!

Weekend Football & Girlies

Have I mentioned my days are busy?
Full.
Exhausting.
Worth it.

Cooper's first varsity football game was Friday night.
Friday night lights are special.
We are living in these moments.
Grateful.
Cooper is #95.
We sat in the stands.
Braxton and Mia and Hudson showed up.
We cheered loudly.
Ryker hung out with his friends, as you do when you're 12!
Hudson pointed a lot and yelled, "Der he is!!!!"
Syracuse beat Woods Cross.

Saturday morning, I hurried to the gym.
Then hurried home.
Ryker was waiting for me.
We went to breakfast.
Just the two of us.
Pre-game meal.

We went to Northridge to warm up for his first game of the season.
I set up all the things: banner, drinks, whatever the coaches needed.

I'm excited about Ryker's season.
It feels like he is much more engaged.
He has great coaches.
After sending a message to the parents the night before about OUR behavior as parents, I felt like we had a great game!
Sportsmanship.
Fun.
Cheering.
Laughing.
Rooting for these kiddos!
Syracuse beat Northridge.
By a lot.

When Ryker and I got home from the game, Jackson and Isis were there with the two youngest.
We had some Delilah and Melanie time.
We colored.
Delilah colored on Melanie's face while Gigi was getting bottles ready.
Whatever.

We painted.
We made messes.
We ate snacks.
We cuddled.
We went for a walk.

When Papa got home from work, Delilah dropped her bottle and ran to Papa.
"PAPA! PAPA! PAPA!!!!"
Then Melanie climbed into his arms.

Grateful.
