Slip Slidin' Away

I got the kids a slip 'n slide. I had one when I was young and I totally remember it! They had a blast on it last night and when I called them at 8:30 this morning and asked them what they were doing, they said, "Just enjoying our slip 'n slide!" SO FUN!

Dancin' Lady

Brooklyn had her dance recital this week. I seriously hate my camera right now because these came out so blurry. She was AWESOME! She came out and just started free-stylin' it! She was ready to break it down. It was SO Brooklyn! She did fantastic! So grateful I was able to be there... and her mommy made sure she looked SO beautiful, as usual. Love that girl!

Kong Cones

Jackson got his braces put on yesterday. He was hurting. A lot. After Josh made dinner, and we ate it up, we went to Maceys to get Kong Cones. Ever had one? They are ridiculous. Just saying. Anywho, the kids enjoyed it. While eating, however, every time one of the boys would turn their head, with their cone in their hand, Brooklyn would scoop out some of their ice cream and eat it. No one caught on until Josh started cracking up. Brooklyn was caught! Naughty!! :)

A Date with Peanut

On Saturday, while the two youngest were at Cub Country and Jackson was hanging out with a friend, Braxton and I went and got sno cones, and a new pair of church pants. This kid is a GREAT date! He opens the doors for me, carries my purse and even tells me that he loves me!!! Love my peanut!

My Birthday and Tie-Dye

Over the weekend, we tie-dyed some shirts for the boys and a sundress for Brooklyn. They turned out really cute and the kids haven't taken them off. I wish I had a picture of Brooklyn's sundress. It turned out so cute! Yesterday was my birthday. The quorum and I went to get sno cones because sno cones are my very favorite. I loved that they were still wearing their shirts, except for Kaydon who thought it best to wash his. Good idea!

Say Cheese!

It's time! Jackson and Braxton are getting braces. They had their "records" appointment this week. Seeing them with those pull apart apparatus' in their mouths made motherhood worth it!

End of School

Today is the last day of school for the quorum. This year went so fast. Jackson is done with elementary school. Braxton is done with fourth grade. Kaydon is done with third grade. Colton is done with second grade, and Mrs. Swinyard is done with the Jorgensen boys. I'm sure she will celebrate that! Poor woman. It's another time in our lives that is passing. And, it's the beginning of yet another chapter. The past week has been full of the boys bringing home all of their work and boxing it up to save, cleaning out tote trays, throwing away the papers that have been in their backpacks for the entire school year. It's been fun to listen to the boys memories of their school year. They have, once again, had incredible teachers who have pushed them and challenged them to be the best they can be. I am grateful for teachers who make such an impact on my children's lives. Once again, I have made a calendar for each day of the summer. I always hope that the calendar will keep them from jumping off the roof, reading books on the roof, eating lunch on the roof... you get the picture. It's this time of year, in particular, when I wish I was home more to make memories with my boys, but they know that I love them and that's really what matters.
