These Grandbabes

We had Hudson a couple of times over the Thanksgiving break.
Oh, that smile.
His giggles are hilarious.
He cracks his own self up!

We took him to Sam's Club with us and he was in actual Heaven!!
He thought it was the best people watching ever!

Sunday, we took Aria and Hendrix (and their parents) to Rainbow Gardens.
It's such a great place!
We ate yummy food, then we took them through the amazing gift shop that is all done up for Christmas!

Hendrix was SO happy with Gigi in the front carrier (literally the best baby thing we own!)

Everyone talks about all of his orange hair!

And these two made the announcement, so we get to now!
We are so grateful for grandbaby #6 in May.
Isis has been so, so sick.
With an infant and a toddler, it's so hard.
I know!!!
She has a phenomenal husband, though.
I am so proud of them!

Thanksgiving & SIX

We had our annual Thanksgiving Breakfast on Thursday morning!
I love this tradition.
Donuts, muffins, fritters, fruit & yogurt parfaits, and fresh fruit with fruit dip.
It's so perfect!

These grandbabies come early in the morning so happy!
They haven't been to all of the houses they'll be going to yet and we get all of the smiles!

Everyone but Kaydon was there!
Kaydon will be home on the 16th and he did get to Facetime us!
And the three youngest boys - they go to southern Utah on Thanksgiving each year to be with their mom's dad.
It's a great tradition for them and they love spending time with their grandparents.

This girlie turned SIX on Thanksgiving!
She is a diva!
A sassy, feisty, beautiful, creative, imaginative princess!
We love our Aria Jane.

These grandbabies are just everything.
I just can't get enough of them!

Burke had a great idea - to put up the tree and let Kehlani start decorating it.
Aria had already left to go to all of her birthday parties.

Lani did SUCH a good job!!!

Daddy helped with the high parts of the tree.

Papa helped with the other parts.

Burke and I took an afternoon nap, watched football, and relaxed for the rest of the day.
It was such a great day!

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Good morning all! I pray your all happy and cozy as winter descends upon you! Im getting so excited for it haha

This week was so much better! The truth is i didnt have too much to say last week because I remained pretty sick but God has blessed me to get better and I've rededicated my time, talents and efforts to do everything I can to strengthen and grow the glorious work of the Lord here.

To be quite honest we had done a lot this week but I'm not quite sure what to share haha... I suppose you all have to know of all the references we're getting in places that are so far from where we normally teach. Last Thursday we had walked for like 2 hours to get to a place called bayahonda... my legs are still pretty shot from walking so far but the homie we met there was hype!

He said he wanted to get baptized and be a part of our family but because of distance he won't be able to come to church... fortunately he doesn't actually stay here forever because this guy has another home in another part of the island where he works and there he has most access to get baptized and so plan B is to give this guys lessons through calls and technology :)

There's another girl that referred herself to us that did it under an assumed, fake name... not sure why but she's also super cool haha we called her on Friday and she was so sweet and gentle to us so we're giving it a shot and going to her home tomorrow to visit! She's about the same distance but a different place..

The thing about this mission is that there are tons of people who wonder on Facebook or other social media feeds and end up finding an ad about our church. I pretty sure like 99% of them always put there information in referring themselves but when we reach out, 110% of them tell us that they aren't familiar with the ad that they solicited for haha... and so when you get good references it's game on for everybody

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have like 2-3 weeks left and I've found myself continually giving gratitude and expressing that gratitude to my companion more and more each day for what this place has done and is doing for me. Jesus really is the Christ. The Son of the living God and He lives. That's the most important truth I can ever tell you and plead with you to act upon.

Have a wonderful week! I hope the snow doesn't hold up this cause I want to see it all!

I love and miss you!!

Memories

This gem from five years ago popped up on my memories this morning.
These pictures remind me that we had a lot of joy amidst a lot of trials.
We are so blessed.

This was taken weeks before my stroke.
This was taken one year before Jack left on his mission.
This was one of our last Christmas's in this apartment.

Gosh, I love these boys.

This is the last Thanksgiving without Kaydon.
We will have our annual Thanksgiving breakfast tomorrow morning.
There will be five+ grandbabies there.
There will be a lot of noise, a lot of food, a lot of love.

Gosh, I'm blessed and so grateful.

My Missionary

My sweet missionary called me yesterday right after he got back from the hospital.
The Dengue Fever has now lasted a couple of weeks and he is still very sick.
He did look better yesterday than the week before:
His facial swelling is all but gone.
He is able to stand and walk , which was so painful for him last week.
He has lost weight.
He doesn't really eat because his existing health issues are affected.
He now has a fire-engine red rash that has white spots covering his body.

The hospital they have there is not like any hospitals we have here.
But they did push a full IV bag into his veins.
His blood pressure was low.
They also gave him a shot, but he didn't know what it was for.
He is still on medication, including a topical cream for the rash.

Kaydon's companion is feeling much better, which is good news.
My concern at this point is making sure his health improves so he is healthy enough to come home on the 16th.
Please continue to pray for him.
