Cool Shots

We are in the full swing of basketball season with Ryker.
He is back on his Cool Shots comp team with his friends.
These kids have played together for years.
Cooper decided not to do basketball this year.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a wee bit grateful!

Rose Bud is SIX Months

Rose Bud is SIX months old.
I feel like I've missed so much of her six months.
They live in Pleasant Grove and between working full-time, kids, grandkids, all the things, we usually only see them once a month.
I know it could be much worse.
She is the sweetest little thing!!
Her smile will light up your entire day!!

Aria Jane is 7

Aria Jane, AKA Monkey, turned SEVEN on Saturday!
Aria is beautiful, smart, helpful, creative, and amazing!
Aria loves the first grade.
She also loves being a big sister to Hendrix.
She wanted breakfast at Chris's Cafe.
So, we had breakfast at Chris's Cafe.
Then Unicorn cupcakes & ice cream!
She is into Diamond Art right now.
Papa grabbed a couple of projects for her and we sang to our sweet girl.
We sure love her!!!

Oh, June Bug

Delilah June.
I get these texts from her perfect mama and I giggle out loud.
Jackson was the worst!
He didn't sleep through the night until he was almost two.
I used to use bungee cords to basically lock him in his room so he'd sleep for nap time.

She is SO cute!
I love how stubborn and independent she is!
One day, she's going to run the world!

Peace In My Soul

I am in a weird funk.
I cannot fall asleep at night.
If I do fall asleep, staying asleep is not happening.
Since my back surgeries, I take seven (YUP, 7) Tylenol PM every night to sleep through my back pain.
You would think I would zonk out for hours.
Nope!

When I walked out of our front door this morning to head to work, I saw this.
I thanked Heavenly Father.

I feel like each night on my way home I see the most amazing sunsets, too.
They bring peace to my soul.

Updated

I got my hair updated on Saturday.
I can't believe how long my hair is getting!
I am kind of loving this Fall red right now, too.
I especially love my Madi.
She is in beauty school.
Getting my hair done is already hard (sensory-wise).
Tons of conversations, usually music playing, people walking everywhere...
Madi makes sure that I put my earphones in and am focused on my show.
She asks me constantly if I am okay.
She is just a blessing!

A super important update:
Our Sweet Isis is home.
She is feeling so much better.
Her color is coming back (from yellow).
They did a procedure on Friday that showed two small stones lodged in bile ducts, blocking her liver.
This is why her bilirubin levels were so high.
Her liver was not flushing out and she was so, so sick.
She is up and around and killing the Mama thing once again!

Hotter Than a Hoochie Coochie!

Porter asked Burke a couple of months ago if we could go to the Alan Jackson concert.
It's his last concert tour, afterall.
Thanks to EKF, we sure could!
We sat in a lovely box, made for four (Burke, Me, Cooper, and Porter).
We had drinks and snacks brought to us and money loaded onto our phone to order our dinner.
**I am daily in awe of this life. Sitting in a box? With tv's? Bringing us food and drinks? Private area so I can be back from the noise and lights and sensory overload??? This is a crazy life!**

Alan Jackson was so great. It was such an intimate affair, even though it was in the great, big Delta Center!
He just talks to the audience like we're in his living room.
He's so genuine.

Did you know that he has a disease called, "Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease?"
I couldn't figure out why he needed help getting onto the stage, then had a pole behind him for him to lean up against.
I googled it during the concert and found this!
It causes muscle contractions, loss of sensation, and difficulty walking. It makes it especially difficult for him to perform.
It was a great concert!
I loved it!
Porter did, too!!!
Cooper mostly enjoyed that there were tv's for us to watch the football games on!

Little Sick

This little Squish is sick.
He was still so happy all day yesterday.
He can barely breathe out of his stuffy nose, but he still laughed at everything.

Papa is sick, too.
Whenever Papa coughs, he copies him.
Turns out his mommy is sick, too.

Our Isis, though, is very sick.
She has been in and out of the hospital since her gall bladder was taken out two weeks ago.
She was kept overnight last night and they are doing a procedure today to see if there are any stones lodged in her body that CT and MRI aren't showing.
Our sweet girl is very unwell.
Her blood results continue to come back very bad.
She is jaundiced.
She is nauseous and in a lot of pain.
Please pray for our girl, Jackson, and their family.

Boys are Mauiing!

The boys will be home tomorrow night.
This is the longest we've ever gone without seeing them.
They are having the time of their lives!
They've snorkeled almost every day!
Their mom got married on Monday.
They've sent us pictures and Cooper has texted me about football.
We are excited to have them back home, but so grateful they've had the best time!

Fall

The City offices were closed yesterday.
The boys are still in Hawaii.
Burke worked.
So, I worked out and grocery shopped...
Then I deep cleaned parts of the house and it felt so good.
I needed a day for myself, I think.
I cleaned and cleaned and made bread for the week and made some homemade potato and sausage soup and then I went to bed!

Earlier in the weekend, Hudson was SO busy being a Papa's boy.

He is getting so big and he is so silly!

He was SO tired on Sunday and didn't want to take a nap.
He was the opposite of fussy.
He was laughing hysterically for an hour.
Could not stop laughing until he just zonked right out!

These two boys are two months apart.
They are learning how to share and play together and it's the cutest dang thing!
I sure love these grand babies.

On my way home from taking Hudson back to his house, this was my view:

Sunsets are one of my love languages.
