Best Boy

Cooper sent me this picture the other morning.

A sunrise as he was walking from his friend's house to school.

I responded, "You're my best boy!"

There is something about your junior in high school thinking of you when they see a beautiful sunrise.

I love my family.

 

Stilllll Undefeated

I work with the best people... still!

P prepared them well!

My Victoria was off at noon, but brought me some Farrs ice cream around 2!

It was just what I needed!

Ryker's team remains undefeated!!

We beat the only other undefeated team in our division on Saturday.

It was a hard-fought game and I was so proud of them!

 

Keep On Going

Porterman is doing well.

His pain is at about a two today.

He continues to stay in the hospital while he heals.

In the meantime, life just keeps on going!

Cooper is back!
He played in his first game since separating his clavicle from his sternum.

He even had an interception!!!

Then it was off to Ryker's scrimmage.

I've been so proud of this kiddo.

He has done so well adjusting to junior high.

He's having a great football season.

He's my little mama's boy!

This morning, Cooper sent me this picture of the sunrise.

I told him he was my best boy!

 

Porter's Surgery

Porter was scheduled to have surgery in October (the 9th).

He had a virtual appointment with his GI doctor and they saw some issues on his imaging that was new.

She asked him to go to Primary Children's on Tuesday morning.

He was admitted Tuesday and surgery happened yesterday.

Burke sent me this:

We knew everything would be fine when we saw that the tech's name was Gigi and the nurse's name was Melanie Rose!!

God wink.

He had surgery yesterday morning.

It was very straightforward and went as well as it possibly could have!

They took about six inches of his small intestine.

They didn't have to do an ostomy bag!!

He'll be in the hospital a few more days and then home to rest!

Hopefully this is the beginning of a healthy, growing journey for our boy!

Football & Sunsets

We brought one of Jackson's teammates along to the Syracuse homecoming game on Friday.

They met up with other teammates and had a blast while Burke and I enjoyed the game...

Until halftime when Ryker called me to ask if I'd come down and get them all ice cream.

Of course!

I love these 25 kiddos.

Being their team mama is HARD work.

I feel like a constant chicken with my head cut off running in circles.

But they know they're loved and supported and that makes it all worth it!

Saturday, they continued their winning ways.

Still undefeated!

Burke sent me this on his way home from work last night.

It's my love language!

 

Girls & Their Cat

These three beauties...

Eating the dinner Daddy made them.

They are magical.

Their mommy and daddy added a family member last week.

His name is Benny.

The girls LOVE Benny.

Benny is SOOOOO good with these girls.

Even when Melanie picks him up by his little neck!!
