Weekend of Babes

Yes, our lives completely revolve around our family.
Yes, most of my posts show these cute faces because that is where our time is spent!

We were supposed to have sleepovers with Hudson Saturday night.
At 1 AM, his mommy and daddy had to come pick him up.
He naps so good at Papa and Gigi's house.
Bedtime... not so much.
He LOVES his own bed and wants his own bed.
If Papa was holding him, he was great.
If not, midnight was not a happy time.
Poor Squish.

He LOVES his uncles, his Papa, and even his Gigi when Papa isn't in sight!!
Ryker played with him for hours on Monday.

Sunday, Rian and Tyler and the kids were over.
Hendrix IS a fan of Gigi.
Thank goodness!
He still has all of his red hair and the cutest smile.
He loves to be held by Gigi, playing with this big sis, and of course his mommy.

Aria and Papa did some fun stuff, too!

And these are pictures of me proving that Squish naps so good at our house!!!

We miss the girls so much.
We haven't seen them for about a week and a half... and I know that a lot of grandparents don't see their babes for much longer than that, but it's a long time for my Gigi heart!!

Puppy Dog Eyes

Kaya is absolutely obsessed with her human.
She does everything possible to be by Ryker's side ALL THE TIME.
She's annoying, really.
But there is something about these two.
They calm each other.
They have an unspoken love between them that cannot be described in people words.

Burke snapped these pictures last night.
Ryker was upset that Cooper took over a game.
#reallife
He had come upstairs and Burke was trying to talk to him.
He was silent.
Then Kaya walked up to him.
And all was right in the world.

This weekend, we get Squish for a sleepover.
Please, Dear Lord, let him sleep!

Cursive

I woke up to this... ALL of this on my kitchen counter this morning.
It is very important to Burke that the children have an excellent signature.
You know, just in case one day they are signing their autographs on babies and such.
They obviously did A LOT of practice last night...
Page after page in the notebook, the back of bill envelopes, the back of all envelopes...
My favorite part, though...
The explanation of cursive!!!

Also, our boy hit 20.99 MPH yesterday at speed and agility.

So Much Love

Never in my lifetime have I experienced and been surrounded by so much love.
I made a Facebook post this week titled, "Love Story."
It's my love story.
It's about me learning to love me.
It's the most important love I have.
Because I love myself, I am able to love infinitely more as a mama.
I am able to love like crazy as a Gigi.
I am finally (literally, FINALLY) in a forever relationship where love flows because we have it for ourselves. We've done the work prior to even meeting each other and we work daily to make sure we are doing all the things individually and as a couple to love.
Love.
Love.
Love.

I just am obsessed with love.
Always have been.

Squish & June Bug

Uncle Colton caught some darling pictures of these two babes.
They are eight months old and have so much personality!
Delilah is a boss babe!!
She has a lot to say!
Hudson is absolutely fascinated with Lilah.
He just follows her lead for sure!

They jabber to each other and I ALWAYS want to know what they are saying!

If I look tired in this picture, then you guessed correct.
Gigi is exhausted... but in ALL the good ways.
I love our family SO much.
At one point, Lilah had put her thumb in Hudson's mouth and he was just sucking her thumb falling asleep!!

Just in love!

SuperBowling

I so wish that I had pictures from Saturday evening.
Burke worked about 65 hours last week.
We saw very little of him.
In preparing for Super Bowl Sunday, Cooper requested Farrs Licorice Ice Cream for his birthday month dessert.
I hadn't had time to grab it.
When Burke got home at 6:30, we headed to Farrs to get that and some Vanilla Bean for Isis's birthday month treat, too.
Then we rushed it home to freeze and headed to Jersey Mike's to grab a sandwich for dinner.
We got two different Giant sized sandwiches to share.
We even sat in the restaurant to eat it!
That might not sound like a big deal to any of you, but it was SO fun.
As we left to head to the car, Twisted Sugar was right next door.
I haven't been to Twisted Sugar for a year and a half!
Burke, "Babe! Do you want a cookie?!"
DO I?!?!?!
We grabbed our cookies and then got in the car to race to Ryker's basketball game.
It was such a fun little date night!

Saturday morning after my gym time, I grabbed Hudson for a few hours to give his mommy and daddy a little break.
They were coming over later for the game.
As soon as I walked in the door, Uncle Cooper was there to grab him.
I never want to forget the relationship the two of them have.
Hudson is getting to the point where Uncle Cooper is his go-to.
Coop will hold him for hours.
They just chill.
Burke and I got dinner ready while they just did their thing.
I kept asking him if he needed a break... nope.

Jackson, Isis, Kehlani, Delilah
Braxton, Mia, Hudson
Kaydon
Colton & Diana
all came over.
Of course, we had our three boys too.
Rian and family & Bubba and Suzanne spent the day at their mom's house.
We ate meatball subs, homemade mac and cheese, sliced caramel apples, strawberries and pineapple, caramel popcorn, and chips and watched the big game.

This June Bug is just so busy!
SO big!
So happy.
Such a lovey.
She is such a Papa's girl!

Braxton was stoked about the ending.
Cooper was not.

Love this family of ours!
