Shady Ice Cream Eating

A really great friend picked me up on Saturday and took me to the Burger Bar in Roy.
This place is crazy-busy ALL THE TIME.
Like, people travel to go here.
It was featured on a TLC show once, I think.
Anywho, they have ice cream.
Ice cream is the way to my heart.
Literally.

Chairs were set up in the only shady spot in the parking lot, music was played on a portable speaker, and ice cream was eaten.
I stared at my mountains, and the people of course.
I ate a homemade chocolate shake.
I listened to music and enjoyed the breeze.
It was SO thoughtful and so just what I needed!

Kaydon's Seminary Graduation

Last Sunday, our stake held the Seminary Graduation.
It was done really, really well.
Our stake presidency is amazing, and they already love Kaydon SO much!

Each graduate got a professional picture with their parents, a Minky blanket that is embroidered, and a beautiful diploma.

Right after graduation, Kaydon had his final meeting with the stake president.
His mission call should be here within a few days.
This mama heart is so proud of him.

The Blessings

Oh, the blessings we see every single day!
Last Friday, I was to meet Michael at the courthouse to sign the final documents for the divorce.
I had SO much anxiety.
The thought of being in his presence literally made me physically sick.
D was going to go with me, but couldn't.
Kaydon gave me a blessing Thursday night.
For the first time ever, I remembered to record it.
It was bold.
Powerful.
Stunning.

I was ready Friday morning to do this thing.
Then, I got a text from Michael that I didn't have to go to the courthouse afterall.
He would bring the papers to my office to sign there... in my safe place!
It was the biggest relief.

They are signed.
I am done.
And done.

My sweet sister, Cyd, is such a blessing.
There was a group Aubrey message going around for a "family get-together."
I, of course, didn't get it.
However, it was scheduled for the 11th.
She responded in the group that she would not be attending because it is my birthday and she would be saving the day for me.
You can't make this up.

We are SO blessed.

My Birthday Week

It's HERE!
My birthday week.
Oh, how I love my birthday month.

I've been sitting in my weeds each day.
It's delightful.
Until it's too dang hot, then I move to the shade.

A vendor sent cookies last Thursday.
It was for our Refuse Department, the delivery driver stated.
I said something sassy like, "It should be for my birthday month."
Turns out IT WAS!!
The vendor was in our office the day before and heard (because I'm a sassy loud mouth) that it was my birthday month and sent cookies!!!

The Babes

I got TWO days with the babes last weekend!
Brandon asked me to help him take them to the park on Sunday..
Um... YESSS!!
Kaydon even stopped by in between appointments!
They love Kaydon!

Asher has a new obsession with pulling his diaper apart and watching the cotton fly through the air.

Anson LOVES to count to different numbers with whatever adult is with him prior to going down the slide.
Auntie is here for it!!!
My favorite number that he chooses is ZERO!

I love that this boy holds my hand as we walk.
I love our shadow.
I hope these babes never question whether their auntie loves them infinitely!

Monday, their mommy and daddy got to have an hour, or so, to themselves.
After playing outside for an hour, Auntie was tired.
So, I laid on the floor and the boys took turns sitting on my belly to play with their tablets!

Anson LOVES water balloons!
Carrie found the coolest invention EVER!

Ashy loves them, too...
Until he doesn't and just throws them!
But that smile!!!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Sunday, Colton and I headed to my favorite place:
The Ball Field.
Colton isn't a fan of baseball, actually.
Or the sunshine.
So, he and I moved to the very top level of section 101 - basically the first base foul ball line.
This is FAR from my to the left of home plate spot where I like to keep score and talk to the umpire.
But, Colton was much happier in the shade - so the shade is where we went.

Kaydon arrived around the fifth inning after doing some Church things - like his appointment with the Stake President to get his mission papers in...
He was sad about not getting a tan - so he moved down a few rows to get a some rays.

Either way, this mama is SO happy at the ball field and SO thankful that my boys (who would rather be somewhere else) come with me!

Hair Day

I went to get my hair cut last week.
As I walk in and see my Morgan, I also see my Mia.
Braxton came in a bit later.
Braxton for a perm.
Mia for a highlight.
And just like that, we are all looking SHARP!!
