Freaking Sick of It

We have been so sick at our house for an entire week.
Burke got it first.
Last Wednesday and Thursday.
Puking and Pooping.
A lot of the aforementioned activities.

Friday morning, I collapsed while in the shower.
Ryker started throwing up shortly after that.
He and I didn't leave bed Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
Puking and Pooping.
A lot of the aforementioned activities.
A LOT.

Sunday night, Cooper began throwing up.
I was still sick.
Ryker and Burke were better.
Cooper and I didn't leave bed Monday.
Puking and Pooping.
A lot of the aforementioned activities.

Monday, Stella (the dog) began throwing up.
I so wish this was not a true story.

Ryker went back to school Monday.
Cooper stayed in bed yesterday.

Porter came home from school yesterday and began throwing up.
Puking and Pooping.
A LOT of the aforementioned activities.
Porter is in bed as we speak.

Cooper is back at school today.
I came back to work yesterday.

Can we just be done?
I am freaking sick of the aforementioned activities?!?!

Jackson and Isis brought me flowers on Saturday night.
They are beautiful.

Burke has been his usual rock star self.
The amount of laundry that has needed to be done is comical.
Bedding.
Repeat.
Repeat again.
Bathroom rugs.
So many repeats.
Towels.
Holy moly on the towels!

Getting popsicles, making soup...
Sprite and water runs.
Making sure we all have medicine.
Sleeping on the couch when the sickies just wanted to be in our bed with me.
All the things.

I will say that the snuggles will never be something I complain about.
I miss my boys snuggling with me when they're sick.
Having snuggles with Coop and Ryk for a few days was ALMOST worth the sickness!!

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Hey yall!

Sorry for no longer writing every week! Here in San Juan Elder Jackson and I have been trying to go to new water falls and hikes every week we've been Herr, but there's one waterfall called San Pedro that's nearly impossible to get to with now 3 attempts but have still not seen it, but we're gonna try next week as this week we're going to Elias PiƱa which is the border of Haiti and there's a Haitian market there that apparently sells everything.. I'll be the judge of that ;)

As far as this area goes, it's pretty difficult, the members are harder to work with and many people haven't made steps to change or progress, and my companion even though is super fun is just a very different missionary than me and all of it with the time I now have in a mission is killing me a bit, making me miss home, not my things nor worldly things that I've given up to be here just my energy to keep working..

So I'm currently building up that energy and trying to look for all the miracles that I can to keep myself focused! No se preocupen ;)

One of those miracles happened yesterday as we were on the kast day for the week but hadn't completed all our goals but after church we left with a cool member and her cute daughter to visit a few people and during one of the lessons we met Mario which completed our goal to find people and almost our goal to have members present so that's lit haha

Even though it's tough around here I'm so grateful for the member who took time from her family, and from everyday house chores to help us help others.. one of the reasons that strengthens me as a missionary

I miss you all and love you all more!

Working HARD!

First of all...
STOP GROWING.
Look how tall she is getting!
Heart=Broken

This little miss is EVERYthing.
Her mommy and daddy dropped her off at my office for a couple of hours on Monday because they had an appointment.
She's two.
But she does SO good at Gigi's office.
Yes, we have to Facetime Papa.
Yes, she wants to be with Papa RIGHT NOW GIGI.
Yes, she loves her snacks.
Yes, she pretends my adding machine is her computer.
Yes, that's a toilet paper roll with a golf ball because I'm brilliant.
Yes, that's a yoga mat because Gigi we have to stretch!!!

She was pooped!
Working hard is hard work!!!

In Other News

In other news...
Gus Gus is definitely getting older.
He can't get on our bed without his new stairs.
He struggles to get on the couches or chair to cuddle with Dad or the boys.
He's still as grumpy as ever.
He still isn't the biggest fan of me, however he has been cuddling with me in the middle of the night.
Kaya is stuck to Ryker like a magnet.
She loves her boy so much.
She cuddles him, spoons him, kisses him endlessly.

This morning, I noticed that she and Stella had somehow opened Cooper's bedroom door in the middle of the night.
The boys are with their mom on Tuesday night, so their doors are closed.
The girls weren't having it and let themselves in to sleep on his bed.

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Hey guys! Whats going on?

This week we did lots and did a lot a travel but before I forget we went to a water fall and reflected upon a really funny video talking about Gatorade Electric Blue, so you'll see the pictures that will fulfill the title haha

Anyway we traveled to the center of San Juan and had our Zone council then after went to the capital 4 hours away to do a Mission leadership meeting where the zone leaders go and talk about ways to improve the mission and Elder Townsend was there and I was super excited to see him!!

We also went to Caves about 2 weeks ago. There was a couple dead goats..

Not too much time haha but lots of picture 😁

Love you!

Puerto Vallarta Day 6

Friday was our last day.
I cried.
I literally cried.
I loved all of the people on our trip so much.
Burke's employer does this every year and I cannot wait for next year.
Our flight was at 5 pm, so we hung out at the resort until 2ish.
The AMAZING employees at the resort all came to us to tell us that they would see us next year.
Yonni, Ignacio, and Jessica were our team that served us poolside every day.
They have my heart!
I loved every minute of this trip, sick and all!
I keep thinking about this view when I look out my office window and see snow.

Hasta el ano que viene, Puerto Vallarta!!!!!
