Intermittent Fasting

I researched, then attempted to do an intermittent fast.
To say it was the worst experience of my life would probably be an exaggeration, but it was a top 15!
It was horrible.
Everything about it.
I literally lasted about three days.

On Christmas, I decided to do more research on it.
I found an app that I really like.
It is called "Fastic."

Currently, I am on Day Six.
And, I am feeling so dang good.
I am doing the 16 hour fast / 8 hour eating.
I normally fast between 3 pm and 7 pm.

This is what I have noticed, which are all accomplishing the goals I had with intermittent fasting:
Digestive Success (if you know me, you know that I talk about poop all day, every day! Mama has some serious digestive issues. My belly will swell rock solid so big some times that it appears that I am in my third trimester. The pain is out of hand. I have not had any bloating and no pain at all. I am pooping like a champ!)
Sleep - I am falling asleep easier. In the past, I would have to go through two meditations to get to sleep. I am not even making it through an entire one. I feel like the digestive issues being better is a part of this.
Water Intake - I struggle to get water in me. However, during the fasting phase you cannot have anything besides water, coffee and tea. I hate the taste of water and tea. Therefore, I am drinking water like a boss. I actually feel MUCH more thirsty while fasting, which helps as well. I am still having a Diet Coke each day, but it is only during my eating hours.
Muscle - I don't want to lose weight, however I DO want to increase muscle. I also want to have strong bones. Intermittent fasting allows for more fat burning. This may increase my weight, which is just fine with with me!

There is nothing that is for everybody!
However, I am glad that I've given it another shot. I don't wake up feeling like I'm starving. Also, it has prevented me from mindlessly snacking at night just because. That was not good for me, or my belly and didn't help with my sleep.
The app keeps me on track.
I'm really liking the way my body and my mind are feeling right now.
