Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan and Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Good morning all of you! Its been a second since I've written to you and even longer since I got any pictures out haha but we'll try and get both done!!

That last couple weeks have been a tough little Rollercoaster for sure, with not many of our friends progressing or even willing to progress it's begins to take the f in failer and starts to hard capitalize it!

Although, we don't give up around here even if I have to drop everything and become a wedding planner for these people because as it turns out no one here is married! They go by the phrase "UniĆ³n Libre" which ends up coming out to "no strings attached".  Apparently with all the yelling that goes on in the 200 churchs on street 17 with 2 people attending each, a pastor and his brother screaming "hallelujah!" and "Gloria a Dios", they never end up teaching the law of chastity : l .... and so, WEDDING PLANNERS! This week I also had the unfortunate experience of taking an omsa (bus transportation) and being the one standing right next to the guy that converts everybody to the church of Holy Trees. There is just something about being a victim to these things that make it so ironic to be a missionary!

Other than all the convincing to join other churches through interesting word usage and sounds by the Dominicans, the world was blessed to have GENERAL CONFERENCE these past couple days! As a missionary this has been building up and dragging on to get here and now that it's finally over I feel spiritually full!

A few things that I took away was first and foremost that we are under the directions of a loving Father in Heaven and his son that has suffered for the world! As a result, making everything in the world subject to his commands according to his will. They love you, and they are willing and ready to take you into their arms and hold and comfort you and help you in all that you may ask of or desire.

Next we are the most precious thing that They have, we are the works of Their creation, an eternal and infinite sacrifice was made that we may not die, world's have been made for us that all are beyond the comprehension of man no matter what kingdom of glory we are given, I picture our Heavenly Father treating each of us like something fragile and special, holding us in the palm of his hand keeping us enclosed, and protected while keeping that hand close to his warm chest.

And finally, through all of my issues here with this people I have never felt better to be a missionary. I know the importance of this work, I'm not great at it in anyway but until this work is done, it will be my deep breath in the morning and final prayer at night. I encourage all of you to accept the loving invitation of President Nelson, to serve in any possible way that you can right now to further the gathering of Isreal, whether that work starts with you personally or other. But something I learned before my mission, is that ANYBODY can serve a mission of the lord, what that entails.

I love you. I hope that each of you finds peace this week. I miss you all very much and pray for you every single day.

Elder Jorgensen
