Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Good morning friends and family! This week certainly seemed a little longer than usual for sure and I'm so happy it's P-day!

The truth is that this week was so much different than usual which is usually expexted as a missionary.. change.. but this week Elder Hyte had gone home and now he is happily safe with his family. So this week we hit up the trio with Elder De La Rosa and Harper who are both great missionaries and super hard workers!

Getting back to working both areas like I had done before they got here was tougher we we'd both developed strenth in the parte that we're divided, so although we struggled a bit we got the job done and through the duration of the week we set 8 baptismal dates 7 in my area and 1 in theirs which means when I get my new companion here on Wednesday we'll have lots of work to do!

btw transfer news came out and I'll be training a new missionary and district leader which means I'll be staying here in Hato Nuevo for 2 more transfers which is mo one knew before that's 6 months in one area which is A LOT of time in one area!

Although I'm nervous about training and being district leader I am completely aparece that the Lord qualifies those He calls.

Before closing out I'd like to share a story of how the Lord calls us on His errands. After having a really difficult Sunday we had put ourselves in the other Elders area and by the end of the night we decided to visit a few friends that hadn't made it to church including an older lady that is helping us with her friend that also has a baptismal date but both hadn't made it to church and from that morning (yesterday morning) I had thought by passing by, not just to ask why they hadn't come to church but to fulfill priesthood responsibilities, I didn't know what to do or what had happened but I knew that I needed to fulfill them. These thoughts came to me gently and softly and really made me pay attention to what I was feeling. And so as we made our way to this members home, we walked up to their gate and her grandson came up and simple told us that she had been waiting for us to give her a blessing, upon entering the home she had been patiently sitting on her chair and almost immediately told us that she'd been calling for us in prayer. We gave her the desired blessing and a prayer and not Ling after we were back out visiting others. But I know that if the Lord ever needed to have an Errand run, Elder Jorgensen can do it.

I love the Lord brothers and sisters, He knows you and loves you. He counts His sheep. I've always had a problem with trust but someone I know I can put trust in is the Lord. If I didn't, I wouldn't prioritize others eternal life over my own loves ones because I know that The Lord will take care of them much more as I give myself to him.

I love you, each of you. Your in my thoughts and prayers each day. Trust in the Lord and listen to His still, small voice.

Elder Jorgensen
