Hudson Dean

Mia's water broke at 1 am, Tuesday morning.
By 5 am, she was dilated to a 7.
By 10 am, she was dilated to a 9.
Then, her body just took a bit of a rest!
At 4 pm, they started pitocin to get her to the finish line.
At 5 pm, the nurses started trying to turn Baby Boy.
After an hour, they got it and Mia pushed through three strong contractions.

Baby Hudson was born.

Dear Hudson,
You are loved endlessly. Your daddy's nose, your mama's lips, your uncle's red hair... you are perfection and your soul has blessed us already. Gigi loves you so much!❤️
Dear Mia,
I am in awe of what you accomplished over the last nine months, and especially over the 18 hours that you bravely brought Little Man into this world. You are beautiful, strong AF, graceful, patient, and are already a mama bear! I love you so, so much.❤️
Dear Braxton,
My goodness, Peanut. You've always been a caretaker. You've always been compassionate - next level compassionate. But watching you with your son is one of the greatest moments of my life. I am so proud of you! I am so honored to be your ma and Hudson's gigi. Thank you, Son.❤️

Baby Kehlani

This sweet girl.
It is becoming much more real to her that there is a baby coming.
Something is coming out of mommy and it's soon.
She knows the baby's name.
She knows it's a girl.
She knows the baby needs bottles and a new bathtub and all the things and she is starting to question things a bit more.

On Wednesday, Burke and I took her to the store to get her some summer clothes and to grab the baby a bathtub and some swaddles.
She saw a picture on the store wall of a baby drinking a bottle.
"Papa, I need a bottle."
Burke: "Lani, that's for the baby."
"I AM a baby, Papa! I Baby Lani!!"
Burke quickly took her to the sippy cups and they picked out two.

Burke put the bathtub in the cart.
"Gigi! Papa get me a tub tub!"
Me: "Lani, that for the baby! Lani takes tubs in the big girl tub!"
"I NOT big! I mall (small)!"

Sweet girl is about to have her world rocked!

By the way, she LOVES the little rocking chair at our house.

She loves Cooper way more, though!
As soon as he came home, she wanted him to play and play he does!!

Planting

Burke sent me this pictures this morning and it made me so happy.
Our front yard is really beautiful right now.
I take a few minutes every single day to pick newly-formed weeds, water the plants that require a bit more hydration, and fluff the soil that surrounds our plants.
Oh my goodness, it makes me so happy.
Some of the lillies are blooming, along with the marigolds and the salvia.

In the beginning, we weren't seeing too much action with the new bird feeder in the backyard.
I would check morning and night and nothing.
Kiya tends to chase the birds away and it breaks my heart.
But over the last week, they have become much braver.
The finches and sparrows are eating it up!
Oh my goodness, it makes me so happy!
No hummingbirds yet, but I'm being patient!

And these geraniums.
Seriously.
They are thriving and, oh my goodness, it makes me so happy!!!

Mama's Day Bees Game

We celebrated Mama's Day (again) on Sunday at the Bees Game!!
This is my annual want for Mother's Day - to be at the ballpark with my family.
The size of the family just continues to grow and I'm thankful for each of them!

We had perfect seats that were in the shade for the VERY pregnant mamas in our family!
I was SO thankful that all of the babies decided to stay in their mama's tummies for the game!

Missed Kaydon!
Can't wait to have him back next year.
Bubba and Suzanne were camping and we missed them, too.

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

First and foremost. I had no idea what to title this email.

Second.. I'm sorry. I totally sent an email put last week but it's been stuck in my outbox all week because the internet in this house is absolutely horrendous!! That's just been my luck with houses on a mission haha

First I was in a really nice house in puerto rico but then it was just down hill from there with the La Union house that's literally just a dump hill then I got a house every missionary calls the cave.. because it's literally a cave.. dark, cold, no internet, but that house had good water :) but soon after I was in the Hatillo house with absolutely no water for the entirety of my stay which consisted of 12 weeks. And no power for 2 weeks on top of that. Then after that and after Hati Nuevo I came here where the internet doesn't exist and the water comes out super duper dirty... like visibly dirty.. I'm never going to take for granted Homes in the US.... anyway sorry no internet, no email.

This week the rains came down, and the floods came through. In my specific area I came during the dry season but it's been raining so much lately, but no fret because we're still hitting our goals and we still had our baptism this week! 2 of the 3 kids of Manuel and Magdalisa (those that we married and baptized and few weeks ago) we baptized yesterday after church!

This month is going by a little fast.. I still feel that we should be in the beginning of May but here we are in the end. Above cleaner water and just a little less rain there's nothing I would prefer more than if time would go much slower. The mission is so much better that normal life, I literally just help people all day and have absolutely nothing else to worry about. The thing I'm most excited to do when I get back is put all of thus into practice. Last week on Monday I think I watched YouTube videos and scrolled through Facebook for like 3 hours and I've never hated myself more after that haha.. but as soon as we got back home I made a list of daily activities I'm sticking to and I'm giving my self a daily planning every single day! In it, I have daily activities, weekly activities and monthly activities that will keep me organized and live more righteously. Living righteously is always so much better.

I'm going to try to send out the last email and pictures separate.

Love you!!

Elder Jorgensen

Good morning all! We have no power right now.. haha

Its been a good week though

We had transfers and my beloved estranged companion Elder Jackson has now gone back to the capital and I miss him already

Wednesday however was quite the fight as everyone but Elder Greer and I had left early in the morning and we were left without a phone until about 3 o clock so we couldnt leave to teach or anything until Elder Jones came in from the south. 😑

Around 5 o clock my companion comes in from the capital as he had to stay behind to work on his residency to be legal here in the country.

Elder Goldfarbs a beast. He's from San Juan but not this San Juan.. he's from the San Juan Argentina! He's like 6'4" and is the youngest of 2 other sisters. Homie is obviously latino so he speaks his Spanish but with his accent its so very hard for me to understand what he says... especially if it catches me off guard or its out of nowhere.

I read a little more about the Book of Mormon.

I know it's true.

Just so everybody understands, the book isn't the Bible of the Mormons, nor is it a replacement of the holy Bible that includes the old and new testaments of Jesus Christ.

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and its contents were written by Prophets from the continent of the Americas.

The Prophet Mormon gathered in the writings from these holy men and organized them into a book to testify of Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible... the book was buried and hidden to be kept safe then revealed again by God when the Church was restored. The Prophet of the restoration, Joseph Smith, translated the contents of the Book and now the book also stands as evidence that Joseph really was a Prophet.

I know he was. And I love him. I have read the Book of Mormon now 5 times and I have asked God humbly in prayer if it all really is true. I have received my answer time and time again. And I'm still here. I know the Book of Mormon is true.

Yall ready know

Jackson & Isis Baby Shower

Jackson & Isis had their baby shower on Saturday.
We were in charge of decorations.
We bought the kit for the balloon arch.
Seriously, everyone is doing these and they are so fun!
Burke figured it out and gave me instructions.
I blew up all of the small balloons and took the balloon blower upper with me to do the big ones.
It turned out OK, but I was a bit disappointed.
It'll be better next time... and there will always be a next time!
Jacks & Brax & Isis were so helpful!!

Look at our cute Mia.
This girl is ready to pop!!!

My handsome, independent, strong, amazing Colton!

This girlie.
She was pretty sure the party was for her...

These three are ready to add Baby D!!!

My Auntie flew in from California to surprise Jackson & Isis.
She's always so supportive of my mom and my kids.
I'm so grateful for her!!

Family & friends were there to support them.
I'm thankful to my mom who opened her backyard for the shower.
Isis's mom & sister made the most delicious pasta.
Their friend made the most beautiful cake!!

I cannot wait to hold our Baby D!!

Celebrating Utah Fourth Grade Style

Ryker had his fourth grade program yesterday morning.
It's been a minute since my boys had their fourth grade programs.
In Utah, the fourth grade focuses on our good 'ole state!
I am always amazed by how many songs about Utah they come up with to sing.

Note how he got super dressed up for the program.
Insert eye roll from me.

I was grateful that he wore the hat, though!

The hoe down dancing is always my favorite!

His mom was the lucky winner of being the dance partner!!!

Ryker and his best friend, Boston.
There is no greater friend than Boston.
They play football, baseball, and basketball together.
Boston is the neatest kid and we adore his family!!

In other news, Porter built an amplifier Wednesday night.
He brought it upstairs to show it to me whilst I was trying to fall asleep...
I have no idea what any of the words he said meant, but it's pretty freaking awesome!
