Mama's Day

I love Mama's Day.
I love my kids.
I love my grandbabies.
I am so thankful for my life.
I feel extra blessed and grateful right now.

Sunday morning, Burke snuck out of bed and closed the bedroom door.
I walked out to the yummiest smelling kitchen and another, amazing bouquet of flowers.
I told him that he had just bought me beautiful flowers two days before.
He responded that they weren't Mother's Day flowers.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE fresh flowers in our home?

This is what he made for breakfast:
French toast casserole with fresh berries and cream cheese

Did I mention that Burke doesn't just buy me flowers and put them in a vase?
He buys multiple flowers and arranges them himself.
I love them.

On Friday, Ryker asked me to pull out the heart picture in his backpack so he could remember to take it to his mom's on Sunday for Mother's Day.
I found it, and this one and assumed this one went to her as well.
I put them both on the kitchen table with a small gift I had gotten for her, from them.
He came in and said, "No, this one stays here for you. I asked my teacher if I could make you something, too, for Mother's Day. She said I could. So I painted lots of colored flowers for you."
I cried.
Like ugly cried.

I didn't take any pictures of our Sunday.
The three youngest went to their mom's for a few hours.
Burke and I started to prepare decorations for Isis and Jackson's baby shower this Saturday.
Then he told me that his plan for the day wasn't shaping out.
He said he planned a motorcycle ride to Rainbow Gardens, but the weather was a bit unsteady.
So we took the truck and drove to the bottom of Ogden Canyon to Rainbow Gardens.
OMGoodness!!
First of all the food.
Shut the front door right now.
It was delicious.
And the little (big) shops there are so fun to browse through.
It was perfect!

When we got home, Colton came over.
Oh, this boy of mine is so dang amazing.
He had Burke help him with a couple of things on his car.
He told us all kinds of Colton stories.
He ate A LOT of food.

Then Jackson, Isis, and Kehlani came over.

Braxton sent me an amazing TikTok.
I missed Kaydon dearly.
I hope he knows how much I love him.
The three youngest came home around dinner time - to the JOY of Kehlani who loves her boys!

It was a great day.
