20 MPH

Last week, Cooper's Speed and Agility Coach posted this:

He did it!
He reached 20 MPH.
I remember taking him to speed and agility last year and watching older kids being timed.
I thought it was insane how fast these kids were running.
Coop was at about 16 MPH last year.
Here we are a year later and he's made the club!!

As soon as football season was over, back to Speed and Agility he went.
Basketball starts in December for him.

Hudson rolled over last night, then FaceTimed me to tell me all about it!

And it's Halloween.
This is about as dressed up as this Gigi gets!
A Halloween t-shirt and a SnapChat filter.

Five Months

Hudson was born five months ago and we are SO grateful!
Hudson is happy, giggly, squishy, smart, active, and AMAZING.
Gosh, we love this little man.
Papa calls him, "Tough Guy."
I call him, "Squish."
Uncles call him, "Huds."
We all just love him endlessly.
We had him for most of the weekend while his mom and dad moved.
He is my snuggle buddy.
I hope that never ends!

As soon as he woke up from a nap, he immediately looked to see if football was on the TV!!
He loves his Papa.

And his Papa loves him.
They hang out and watch sports, take naps, talk about all the things...
Their little relationship is so sweet.

Yesterday, we laid him next to Hendrix (almost three months old).
They are both getting so big!

Ryker had basketball on Saturday night.
It's fun to go and see our football/basketball/baseball family!

I love that the boys send me pictures of sunsets and sunrises, just in case I happen to miss them.
I really am obsessed with God's paintings.

Dog Days

Stella Jane still watches as Ryker picks up the neighbors and begins his journey to school each morning.
Yes, it's approximately 30 degrees.
No, our children do not wear pants.
We're lucky to get him to wear tights under his shorts.

The dogs had a spa day yesterday next door at Laramie's.
She does such a good job and they always smell so much better!!

Wednesdays with Hudson

Mia brought Hudson to me at work yesterday, just before I left.
It's handy that way.
He LOVES the camera!
I LOVE those cheeks!

I had my lash appointment right after work.
Papa called me and said he'd meet me at my lash girl's house and get Squish.
So off they went to go home while Gigi got my lashes done did.

When I got home...

The cutest part was that Hudson would wake up a little and reach for his Papa's hand.
So Burke rested it next to him so that Hudson could hold his finger.

Later after uncles got home, Burke ran them around to all of their things and Gigi got cuddle time!!

I had to take his helmet off because the same pesky sore is back.
I hate this thing!

Also, he'll be five months old next week and he ripped right out of his 6 month jammies, so Mia had to put him in 9 month jammies last night.
STOP growing!!!

Getting Old

I am getting old.
I know I'm getting old.
For the most part, I'm okay with getting old.
These glasses are more of a mainstay lately.
It is what it is!

Also, I spent money on an app called, "Noom."
I am not advertising for them or making any money off of them, but...

I have been really needing help with my physical health and emotional health lately.
I have gained 18 pounds since Burke and I started dating about two years ago.
That is not the end of the world, I know.
Burke could care less.
My kids don't even notice.
But I do.
It feels heavy.
That makes my mental health and emotional health feel heavy.
Food is not making my body feel good.
I have less energy, I feel.
Anywho, I started doing some research after my colonoscopy.

I found this app.
This is what I love about it:
Education.
It is really educating me on my age & food & body movement and what that all has to do with each other.
Accountability.
You literally log everything: every bit of food, water, body movement, mood, lessons they have for you, etc.
I thought I was pretty educated on my body, honestly.
Stroke, cardiac ablation, back surgeries, etc.
I have SO much to learn and I am so grateful I am learning!

I'll keep you posted!

Look Up

On my way to work this morning, I was already in a mood.
I have been dissecting me moods the last few days.
One of the really surprising aspects of validation addiction is needing to be in control.
This is something Katryna talked to me a lot about.
When we would discuss things that were hard for me in the moment, it was often hard for me simply because I didn't have any control over it.
It just was what it was.
I am aware that I am in that rut, again.

Stuck in traffic, I had the thought, "Look up."
It was all right there.
It was there all along.
Right in front of me.
The sunrise.
How could I possibly be missing that?!?!
It was always there.

I just had to get out of my head and look up.

Heavenly Father, once again, painted the sky for us.
It's a new day.
Let go.
Rise up.
Let go.
Rise up.
Let go.
Rise up.

As soon as I got to work, I went into the bathroom and had a conversation with myself.
Heidi, you are worthy.
You are lovable.
You are trying.
Be present.
Let go.
Rise up.
Let go.
Rise up.
Let go.
Rise up.

Happy Weekend!

This guy came up and visited his mama.
I was SO grateful.
Did you know that Colton gives THE best hugs ever?
In the history of ever - the bestest hugs!
He worked yesterday, so he missed our family dinner for the month.
I was so grateful he came up for a while!
I had Hudson on Saturday while his mom worked.
He was very much a Gigi's boy.
He just wanted snuggled for hours and, obviously, I obliged!

The dang helmet!
I just pray they can figure it out and we can be done with it!
They have padded the right side where the pressure sores have occurred, but now the left side digs into his skin causing sores on that side.
So, that means we have to take it off and wait for the redness to go down.

Yesterday was our Family Dinner Sunday.
Most Sundays, we have plenty of family in and out.
Just stopping by,eating, resting, bringing grandbabies.
But, I schedule one specifically each month.
This was our Halloween dinner.

Huds loves the bouncer that Papa bought.
He mostly loves that he can put the toys in his mouth!

Delilah is a Papa's girl.
She and Papa were clearly VERY tired!

Aria loves to get into Gigi's makeup.
Sweet girl came out of the bathroom with two different eye looks.
Such a beauty!

Delilah LOVES this chair we got!
She also LOVES watching football with Papa.
She is just the biggest!

Hendrix loves it, too!
He had the biggest, best smiles for Gigi all day yesterday!

The girls decorated cookies to take to neighbors.
I bought them these cute aprons and hats.
They LOVED them.
They made the most beautiful cookies and we took them to neighbors.
It's really important to me that at least once a year, we do something for others.
This was our chance.

I can't with her face!
She gets SO excited about football and LOVES sitting up so big!

Cooper never lets me take pictures of him.
I have to be sneaky.

Sweet Hendrix Boy.

I gave the two oldest girls a Halloween goodie bag.
Kehlani loves to paint, so one of the things in their bags was a painting thinger.
Her mommy sent me this picture last night.
That smile makes my life so amazing.

Less than two months until Kaydon joins these dinners!!!!
We missed Colton!

Grand Prize + Gains

One of the best things to have ever happened to Colton was weight lifting.
It has been so, incredibly good for him.
He is so independent at the gym.
In fact, people go up to him and ask him for advice!!
He has worked so hard on his body, which in turn has done amazing things for his mind!!
I am so proud of him.

How was Papa and Hudson's time, you ask?
I texted him, asking if the baby was sleeping.
This is what I got.
Wait, what?!
He's sleeping in his little rocker chair???
Did you rock him first then put him in there???
Nope.
Fed. Burped.
Loved on.
Laid in there.
He put himself to sleep.

Per usual, Papa wins the grand prize!
