Mexico In One Long Post

A week ago today, we took off on an airplane to San Jose Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
I am not a good flyer.
Or traveler.
I'm always so grateful for the way that Burke knows to comfort me.
Diet Coke.
Puke Bag.
Head phones.
His arm.
And go...

I immediately had to take pictures of all of the cacti I saw for my Becky Beck.
They were incredible!!

Home sweet home for five big sleeps.

The sunrises and sunsets NEVER disappoint.
They are incredible.
The colors.
The sounds of the waves crashing into the shore.
The breeze.
The seagull (Burke nicknamed him Pablo Segall) always begging for food.

You can't swim in the ocean there.
It's way too dangerous.
Black and red flags line the shore.
But the crashing of the waves is incredibly calming.
Beautiful water.
The whales are literally as close as 50 yards off shore at times.

He is my favorite view always.
He'd get up early every morning, make his coffee, then wake me up to watch the sun rise.
Heaven on Earth.

The activities poolside were so fun.
BINGO.
Water aerobics.
Trivia.
Darts.
Ping Pong.
Water volleyball.
Beach volleyball.

There were multiple pools at our resort.
This one looks out over the ocean.
It was our favorite, for sure.

Some of our favorites!
Dave & Sheri, Baylee & Tyler (our nephew), and Makayla (our niece).

Guacamole every dang day.
Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple...
Oh, and there was a Thrifty Ice Cream shop directly across the street from our resort.
We ate there six times.
I couldn't get enough.

There was also a show every night.
We were never able to stay for them due to the noise and lights, but they were really cool!

This girl got burned on day one.
No bueno.

We had to go buy two very large straw hats to try to lower the chance of more sunburn.
I think we are very cute grandparents!!!

On Monday, we walked into the little town center area.
We walked there with Dave & Sheri and Chase & Victoria.
I loved it!!!

I am a sucker for old churches.
SUCKER.
They are so quaint and have so much history.

The stained glass windows are a favorite!

This little guy paid us visits every day.
Just so curious!

On our last night, we get all dressed up and go to dinner as a group.
There were 44 of us on this trip.
It's such a blessing to be there with amazing people.
Mrs. K is one of my favorite human beings.
I love her and am so grateful that Burke works for such good people!

We flew home Wednesday night.
Sweet Hudson was scary sick while we were gone.
Mia had to take him to the hospital on Monday.
We were grateful to be home to ALL the kids and grandkids.

Five nights is the limit for me!
I miss the kids and grandbabies so much.
Until next year, Mexico.
Muchos Gracias.
