This was my view this morning on the way to work.
I live in the most beautiful place on Earth, I'm positive.
On my way to work, I drive toward the majestic mountains.
Snow covered or not, they are home.
On my way home, I drive toward the lake.
It is just stunning.
Monday was North End Track for our Cooper.
He qualified in the 100m dash, 200m dash, 4x100 relay, and 4x200 relay.
He then qualified for Districts, which are Friday, in the 100m dash, 4x100 relay and 4x200 relay.
I could not be more proud of him.
Monday was another freezing cold, wet, windy track meet.
In all honesty, I'm over bad weather track meets.
It wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that these things last 5-8 hours.
Burke loaded Pepper with two heaters, a big one and a smaller one, propane tanks, my bag with my blanket, my chair, poncho, small umbrella, canopy, and more.
At every track meet, I am the mom surrounded by about 12 boys.
This time, I was surrounded by about 12 boys who were freezing!
In reality, I LOVE these kids.
Coop chooses good friends and kids flock to him.
He's the kid who is giving knuckles to all kids from all schools before and after every event.
He is supportive and kind and hardworking and easy-going.
He is just goodness and joy.
To District we go.
Friday!
