#boymom

Colton and I went to Garcia's for dinner a couple of nights ago.
We like to sit in the bar area no matter where we go... it's a thing.
But on this night, we got to sit RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE fire place!
HEAVEN.

I love gymming with this boy.
It doesn't happen very often anymore because he prefers to go with his friends...
Welcome to the process of empty-nesting.
IT SUCKS.
But he works SO hard at the gym.
He motivates me and I love just making eye contact with him while we are there and smiling!

Yesterday, we were able to get everyone on except for Mia Girl.
Kehlani Boo had just woke up, but as soon as she saw her KK she was SO HAPPY!

I love my role as a boy mom.
It's my favorite role on earth... well being a Gigi might beat it out slightly, but only a little bit!
These boys have the coolest dang bond and I love watching them and listening to them.
They love each other SO much!

Last night, Colton read me an email that Kaydon sent him last night.
Kaydon told Colton how much he misses him; how he wishes he was there with him because no one laughs like the two of them; how he thinks about us everyday; how he wants Colton to get such a strong testimony that they won't have a choice other than to call him as "Bishop Jorgensen."
Then we both laughed.
And cried.

Gigi & Kehlani Day

Saturday was my favorite!
Gigi and Kehlani time!

First, we went to the gym and Kehlani got to play with the other kids in the little kids club.
She is SO good with other kids.
She is great to play by herself, or walk around and jibber jabber to the kids that she sees. And, of course she pooped so BONUS!

We went to Layton Park and she watched the ducks and played on the playground for a MINUTE!!
That little thing has so much energy.

This.
I kid you not...
I went into her playroom to check on her and she was sitting at her little table "reading" books.
She had put Kaydon's picture on the other chair and she was just sitting there with her KK, looking at books.
It never fails to make me cry!

Biggest girl fed her dang self macaroni and cheese and apple slices.
She is SO big!
And, yes, she did share with Kaya and Gus.

Of course, she had to sit on Gigi's lap while I got ready.
By the time I was done, she had eye liner all over her cute little face!

She is magic.
Pure magic.

Broken Closet

At times, it's comical how many things in this house have broken!
My closet door broke a couple of weeks ago.
When Jackson brought Colton home yesterday, he fixed it.
Then the other door broke.
What is a girl to do?!

My favorite part of the drop-off...
Jackson kissing his mama on the forehead, like all of my boys do, and tucking me in for the night.
I'm just so blessed.

All The Things

I met with my Erica last Friday.
We still meet once a month.
Remember, she's the one whose job it is to save my life...
No biggie.

We talked about feelings and emotions and how had it can be for me to feel them, rather than shoving them in that closet that I had for 41 years.
We talked about showing myself grace.
That closet probably saved my life on many occasions.
That doesn't mean I should have a closet now - I don't need it anymore.
I'm now strong enough, and have all of the tools necessary to feel.
But, I have love and compassion for the girl who shoved everything in that closet.

I've been doing research this week on feelings and emotions in the scriptures.
There are 127 different emotions that are brought up in the scriptures.
Jesus has emotions and feelings.
Remember, he wept.
He wept.
He was LONELY in the Garden of Gethsemane.
He was heartbroken watching his mother as she mourned his body hanging on the cross.
He KNOWS what feelings and emotions are, and no matter what scripture we read that pertains to them, there is always a concluding statement or statements about what we can do and who we go to when we have them.
Christ.

Kehlani Girl

This baby girl's mom and dad stopped by Sunday night.
Gigi needed some Kehlani!
Apparently, Kehlani needed some Kaya.
She is so stinking smart!
She knows how to get Kaya out.
She knows how to take her shoes and her jacket off.
She knows how to get her fishy crackers to share with the dogs.
She knows exactly how to melt this Gigi's heart!
I get her Saturday and I can't wait!

My One-Woman Band Weekend

After my gym session of two and a half hours on Saturday morning, I was still feeling really restless...
So I went on a walk.
I took a different route through my beloved Layton Parkway Trail.
I visited with some horses, who quite liked me!
I saw the ducks coming back to their spring and summer home.
I listened to the rush of the stream as the snowpack melts.
And I skipped (literally skipped) over the bridge!

These two are chaos.
God love them...

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan and Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Good morning all of you! Its been a second since I've written to you and even longer since I got any pictures out haha but we'll try and get both done!!

That last couple weeks have been a tough little Rollercoaster for sure, with not many of our friends progressing or even willing to progress it's begins to take the f in failer and starts to hard capitalize it!

Although, we don't give up around here even if I have to drop everything and become a wedding planner for these people because as it turns out no one here is married! They go by the phrase "Unión Libre" which ends up coming out to "no strings attached".  Apparently with all the yelling that goes on in the 200 churchs on street 17 with 2 people attending each, a pastor and his brother screaming "hallelujah!" and "Gloria a Dios", they never end up teaching the law of chastity : l .... and so, WEDDING PLANNERS! This week I also had the unfortunate experience of taking an omsa (bus transportation) and being the one standing right next to the guy that converts everybody to the church of Holy Trees. There is just something about being a victim to these things that make it so ironic to be a missionary!

Other than all the convincing to join other churches through interesting word usage and sounds by the Dominicans, the world was blessed to have GENERAL CONFERENCE these past couple days! As a missionary this has been building up and dragging on to get here and now that it's finally over I feel spiritually full!

A few things that I took away was first and foremost that we are under the directions of a loving Father in Heaven and his son that has suffered for the world! As a result, making everything in the world subject to his commands according to his will. They love you, and they are willing and ready to take you into their arms and hold and comfort you and help you in all that you may ask of or desire.

Next we are the most precious thing that They have, we are the works of Their creation, an eternal and infinite sacrifice was made that we may not die, world's have been made for us that all are beyond the comprehension of man no matter what kingdom of glory we are given, I picture our Heavenly Father treating each of us like something fragile and special, holding us in the palm of his hand keeping us enclosed, and protected while keeping that hand close to his warm chest.

And finally, through all of my issues here with this people I have never felt better to be a missionary. I know the importance of this work, I'm not great at it in anyway but until this work is done, it will be my deep breath in the morning and final prayer at night. I encourage all of you to accept the loving invitation of President Nelson, to serve in any possible way that you can right now to further the gathering of Isreal, whether that work starts with you personally or other. But something I learned before my mission, is that ANYBODY can serve a mission of the lord, what that entails.

I love you. I hope that each of you finds peace this week. I miss you all very much and pray for you every single day.
