I'll Be In The Bathroom

Tuesday night, the boys' mom was later picking them up.
So, I hurried and got Ryker's homework done with him.
I watched all of the things on Cooper's phone that he needed to show me.
I washed some bedding.
I fed the dogs.

Then, I used my brand spanking new tea kettle and made myself some whipped cream with a dash of hot cocoa.
I sent Burke this picture and told him that I'd be in the bathroom, in the tub, with my hot cocoa when he got home from work... and he knew that meant "Do NOT Disturb!!"

Heaven.

Missionary Moment-ish

Kaydon said he wouldn't be sending an email this week.
This was our call from yesterday.
Isis was holding the phone that is focused on Kehlani.
Mia was at work.
I am obsessed with this family of mine.

And then there's this.
Kaya loves her boys.

She has zero personal boundaries and doesn't believe anyone else has any either.

SO much love!

How It's Going

I am still homeless.
Thankfully, Burke is still allowing me and the doggos to stay at his house!
The dogs are not mad about it!
This nine year-old's favorite spot is wherever I am.
He is my cuddle bug!

We had a pretty relaxing weekend all-in-all, which is like a dream come true!

Hoops for Days

Basketball is in full swing.
Ryker is in two different leagues, two different teams.
Cooper is just playing in the recreation league.
Add practices to that and speed/agility training twice a week for both of them...
It's evenings full of sports.

Besties

Just what this Gigi needed - some Kehlani time yesterday!!
Her mommy and daddy had a doctor's appointment yesterday so they dropped her off at Papa's house.
She and Papa are besties!
They talk Papa and Kehlani language (Spanglish).
They cuddle and eat and color and watch movies and laugh together.

Ryker's bedroom tends to be the playroom.
She went in there by herself for a little bit and just played.

Gigi's chapstick is always a hit, too.

She looks so much more grown up every single time I see her.
I need time to stop... for real!
She is so smart. So engaged. So social. So funny. So amazing!!

My Becky texted me this morning.
I told her that today is the first day that I'm starting to feel like myself again.
I went yesterday to get another week's worth of clothes.
I didn't cry this time, but I got myself back out of there as soon as possible.
I know that things could be so much worse and that there are far worse things going on in the world.
I also know that this flooding of my house has been devastating to me and I am honoring those emotions and feelings as best I can, while still moving forward.

New Year Flooding

"Happy" New Year.
I was sick all of last week.
Really, really sick.
Thanks to this guy... per usual.
He took care of me and everyone and everything else!
I started to feel better on Saturday, just to find out that my house flooded.
I have not cried that hard in over a year!
Sobbed.
Could not breathe sobbing.
Burke came, gathered up the dogs and me and loaded us up.

This boy is my snuggle buddy.
He cuddles with me every day and it is just the best.
Seriously, such a blessing.

I put on my workout shoes and got my workout in.
One of my vitals is moving my body.
When I move my body, I can think more clear and act/react better.

Braxton and Mia came over New Years Eve night.
It was so good to see them and cuddle and talk and laugh.
They find out what Baby Jorgensen is on Thursday!!

The dogs are comfy at Dad's house.
Have I mentioned Burke is incredible?

Maybe I'll have a home again in a couple of weeks??
