Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Good morning all! Hope this week was good and enjoyable for each of you!

I was barely in my area this week but we managed haha

Here's what it came down to, I had Tueaday and Wednesday to complete the majority of work we had in our area but then on Thursday morning we got up and left straight for the capital to have a meeting with the other Zone leaders and be trained by the Area President of the Caribbean, Elder Eduardo Gavarret.

That night we had sent some of our members out and visit the friends we were teaching while we had been 4 hours away... it was super successful! Mella (Meya) the new member, went to teach a lady we have all on her own and taught so powerfully that the lady we're teaching began to cry.. she's literally heaven sent.

The following day however I was asked to host Eduardo Gavarret during this Mission Tour into Azua which lies on the west gulf of Santo Domingo and there he gave us more trainings.

And soon as Saturday hit we had already had our baptism for Lenny! Whose is a super sweet, prepared mom of 3 wonderful souls, 2 of which have past away.

Something very unique to this area I have are all the women that are here... we teach and baptism so much more women than men here which reminds me of Prophecies that are being fulfilled right now, that many people of the church will be drawn to it because of the,"good women of the church".

By the way my love Elder Jackson is leaving me for transfers and going back to the capital with a Dominican named Elder Gardener. I stay with an Argentine named Elder Goldfarb whose actually very funny from the interactions I've had with him!

Ya ustedes saben

Love you!!

Girls

No pictures, but Burke and I had a date night Saturday!
It was just the two of us and it was delightful!
We went to our favorite bar top at Texas Roadhouse and spent time with our Ash, and some of the other regulars. We watched baseball, hockey, and MMA all at the same time! It was really nice.
We got home at 9 pm and went right to bed because we are party animals like that.

Sunday was about family.
As soon as Rian and Tyler got to the house, Aria came and found Gigi.
"Remember how you promised me that whenever I come over we do my hair and makeup and pose for pictures??"
And so we did.

Jackson, Isis, and Kehlani came over in the afternoon.
These two girls have fun together, except when they don't!
Girls.

Speaking of girls - Cooper has a crush.
We learned her name last night.
Turns out Ryker also has a crush.
Girls.

Speaking of Ryker, 7-on-7 football was late and dark and cold, but he had a blast Friday night!

My Little Pony

After weeding for seven hours yesterday, and not even making a dent in the building's landscape, I had not one - but TWO - visitors!!!!!!
Colton popped in with a Diet Coke.
He is LOVING being so independent - driving his new-to-him car.
It's such a nice car!

Brax showed up right at 5 pm!!
I got to hug two of my guys in like 15 minutes!!

Story:
I was in a panic thinking about driving at the same time as my Colton in rush hour traffic, on the freaking freeway.
I considered taking the loooooong, side road way just so I wouldn't be on the same road as him.
I wasn't worried that he would crash into me, I was worried that he would crash period.
I had God on speaker!!!
I prayed my guts out and when Colton texted me that he was home, I literally rejoiced!

When I got home, this is what I saw:

I had a physical reaction.
I jumped.
Literally jumped.
Laramie was going for a "My Little Pony" look on Kaya.
I'm not sure if she nailed it or if Kaya nailed it or if there was no nailing.
I am still frightened every time I look at her, though.

In the Ground

We finished getting the plants and flowers in the ground yesterday.
It doesn't look like much right now, but when these little wonders start blooming it's going to be magical.
I'm sure of it!
I love, love, love yard work.
I love weeding.
I love mowing the lawn.
I love digging and planting.
I love all of it.
In fact, I love it so much that I'm weeding our office building landscaping today for Make a Difference Day!

Jim & Official

Burke said to me Sunday afternoon, "Let's go to the nursery."
Insert all the googly heart eyes, People.
This man was speaking my love language!!

We went to a ma & pa nursery which is made up of about a dozen long, stretched out greenhouses.
I was in absolute heaven.
The smells.
The colors.
The warmth of the humidity.
We grabbed a few dozen or so plants and flowers and took them home to nurture.

Burke made me this gorgeous bouquet.
Not only are the tulips this magical, almost rocket popsicle color, but they smell divine!

We had to record Ryker for his wax museum presentation.
He was Jim McMahon.
I was stunned by how much he actually looked like Jim McMahon.
He nailed it!

Stop what you are doing and take a look at this guy!!
Colton Walter Jorgensen got his freaking driver's license yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very, very few people will ever know what it took for him to accomplish this.
He knows.
I know.
His siblings know.
And I am freaking proud of him!
Oh, and he is buying his own car, too.
He got it last night.
NBD.

On top of that, he got himself a tattoo last week.

Never, ever, ever doubt this kid!

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Jose & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

What a week! By the way I hope everyone's doing good and everyone's happy

Basically it comes down to the fact that we didn't have anything else to do this week but work, but our member support went down because of an activity there, or some family members sick there, or there's school work to be done there... but don't worry as we ALMOST hit all our goals for the week.. how?? Because we prayed. And He didn't let us down.

We spoke to tons of people this week, lots of members and friends and many inactives. The majority had told us that church was on the table but come Saturday night to call and remind everyone it was looking way to hairy for me... and everyone knows I hate hairy situations and that's where the prayer flood came in.

I testify that as you leave your desires in the hands of a perfect loving Father, it's hard to be let down... how can He? Although we didn't get everyone we were hoping for, many who came were those whose faith physically radiated off of them.

Mella (Meya) got baptized like a beast. Not many people came to the baptism unexpectedly but she was very much tested over this weekend to not get baptized but she tackled through! It got a little scary as she hadn't shown up for the first hour of church to get confirmed but turns out she was forced to walk yet again several several miles to get there, making her a confirmed member of the church of Jesus Christ that second hour.

All of that and I'm sick haha...yeah I couldn't get out of bed till about 10:30 but a couple shots of ibuprofen and mucus control and coach takes me right off the benches batting home-runs all day long

Shout out to Michel! She also got baptized on Saturday! (Member of a family in my last area)

Too much love

Mamas

Saturday was the photoshoot for these two mamas.
Isis is scheduled to have her c-section on June 15th.
Mia is due June 5th, but may come earlier!
Kehlani is just soaking it all in!

These girls are unbelievably stunning.
I cannot wait to see the finished products!

That face, Guys!!!

Lani was pretending to be a photographer, too.
Basically EVERYONE smiles for Lani.

They kept telling Kehlani to kiss Mommy's belly.
She kept reaching up to kiss her mouth and saying, "Lani can't reach!!!"
She finally nailed it!

And can you believe they had a butterfly chair that fit her perfect?!

Just a few more weeks!!!
