Full Weekend

Friday night when Papa got off of work, we headed up to Brigham City.
Burke bought a bunch of groceries to do some meal prep for Brax and Mia.
Brax went back to work yesterday, and is very organized with making sure that Mia is eating and drinking good.
Then, Papa got to meet Hudson.

Once Papa gets a baby, it's game over for Gigi!!

We left Brigham late and got home around 11:30.
We got the text that Isis was at Davis around 3:15 am.
I got up, put a bra on and raced to the hospital to meet Miss Delilah.
I left after an hour, ran home to try to get a few more hours of sleep, then headed back to Brigham City.
Braxton had a six-hour class, so I went up there to help Mia.
I was able to get Hudson's dresser organized and his room cleaned up.
We got some laundry done!
Mia was able to get appointments set up.
I am SO proud of her.
As soon as Hudson came out, her maternal switch flipped and she's incredible!!!!
Once Mia fed Hudson lunch, Gigi got a few hours of snuggles!
He's still jaundice, so we have to have the UV blanket on him as much as possible.
He doesn't love it, so snuggling is the best!

When Brax got home, he got to get snuggles too.

Then, I went home and showered and Burke came home from work to do the same.
We headed to Salt Lake for a Bees game.
Oh my goodness, we needed this!!
Just the two of us met up with a few people from his work to sit in the suite and watch some ball and take score, of course.
It was a perfect night!!

Sunday morning, we went to the hospital so Papa could meet Delilah.

Then Braxton, Mia and Hudson came down for the day.
They needed it!
And we are all about the babies.

The swimming pool is finally is working order and the boys are ecstatic!
Brax went out and swam with the boys and the dogs.
Mia was able to go out and relax.
It was wonderful!

I'm telling you - BABY HOG!!!!

These babes, you guys!

Delilah June

Isis was scheduled to have a c-section on the 15th.
Friday night, they were in American Fork to have a family sleepover at Isis's parents' house.
Isis's water broke around 1 am.
They drove from American Fork to Davis Hospital, in Layton.
When they arrived, there was some talk about whether they would do the c-section right away or wait a few hours.
Thankfully, they did it right away.
Delilah June was born around 3:15 am.
The cord was wrapped around her neck three times.
Things could have been very, very bad had they waited.
She has TONS of hair, was 6 lbs 11 oz, and 18 inches long.

Jackson recorded the c-section.
If you know Jackson, this is amazing!!
We had always joked that they'd have to have a bed for Jackson, too, because his stomach is so queazy!
He announced that he's a new man!!
He's a girl dad.
He was born to be a girl dad!

Jack and Isis decided early on that Delilah would be bottle fed.
Jacks is doing most of the feedings.
He also announced that his girls are daddy's girls.

My boys are THE best partners.
Literally.
They do everything for their partners.
I am just so proud.
Sweet Isis has really started in on the post c-section pain.

I love this girl of mine.
She is amazing in every single way.

I'm simply smitten.

Papa is the favorite of Aria and Kehlani.
He's making dang sure he'll continue to be the favorite of Hudson and Delilah.
He is a baby hog!!!!!!
I love him.

Isis's sweet mom and dad holding Lilah for the first time.

And look at this.
Are you kidding me??
Kehlani meeting Delilah.
She is already so protective!
Lilah is Lani's baby!

We are just so blessed.

Tanning

Little Man was all wrapped up in his UV blanket yesterday.
After his mommy and daddy took him to the doctor yesterday morning, Home Health delivered the blanket.
He looks so cozy!
I requested one for my birthday.
His daddy texted me last night, "I need you here on Saturday."
I'll be there!!!!!

At approximately 4:30 yesterday afternoon, I looked down at my feet.
Oops.

But can we all please take a moment and look at this magical dose of sass?!
She is everything I want to be when I grow up!!!

Not Swimming Yet

Did I mention that the kids bought us a swimming pool for Mother's Day & my birthday?
Did I mention Burke has now purchased four tons of sand?
A new pool filter?
Pool tools?
Pool chemicals?
A pool vacuum?

Just Ryker building a sand castle with left over sand in the back of Porter's truck...

Jackson, Isis, Kehlani, Braxton & Mia came over Sunday to help lay out the sand and start building the dang thing.
Kehlani had her own shovel and was THE biggest helper EVER.

Ryker kept the dogs in the backyard because gates on both sides were open.

Cooper is really the biggest helper.

The pool is up.
It was filled with water by Tuesday morning.
No one has gone swimming yet, though.
We can't seem to get the chemical levels correct.
Burke is THRILLED with the situation.
(That is sarcasm)
He has bought so many chemicals.
He has googled so many tips and tricks.
This has taken hours and hours and hours.
Kids just want to swim.
Mama just wants it to be done.
Burke just wants to blow the thing up, I'm pretty sure.

Fingers crossed we'll all be swimming soon.
