Like Father, Like Son

Mia sent me this picture yesterday.

We have family pictures on Sunday.
Hudson tripped and fell and hit his head on the curb yesterday.

Like father, like son.

There were YEARS where every single time it was picture day, Braxton would end up doing something that would cause cuts, scrapes, black eyes... you name it.

Like father, like son.

Flowers

Saturday, I went to get a friend some flowers.
Sometimes fresh flowers bring just the right amount of joy!
I decided to grab some for my home as well.
I'm so glad I did!

I absolutely love my flower beds.
Love them.
The colors.
The scents.
The textures.
I love them!

This is Love

Per usual, our weekend was all about football.
Cooper (#95) was on the sidelines, of course.
That's one of his best friends, Hunter, whose kneecap dislocated.
Just another day.
It's hard to watch your kid on the sideline when they want to be playing so badly!

We were up bright and early for Ryker's Saturday game.
Team Mom duties are ever-present.
I have to make sure that my Mary Poppins bag is loaded with everything I think I might need.
Never fails that something someone needs is NOT in my bag.
Saturday: mouth pieces.
Ugh.
We won, though!
And everyone ended up with a mouth piece.
I'm stocking up with more tonight.

In the middle of football, Mia sent me this picture.
I love these babes!
Delilah and Hudson bonding!

Finally, Sunday Night Football was completed with ice cream in bed!
Thanks, Babe!
This is true love!

Boy Time

Burke took the three youngest to Eden to have dinner on Monday night.
I fully planned on going.
We love Carlos & Harleys!
But I had started to not feel too great.
I chalked it up to being cognitively exhausted...

I made them go anyways!

They caught the sunset for me on their way home!!

...
Turns out I have a UTI which is probably a kidney infection at this point...
Carry on.

Ongoings & Such

This is Bella.
She is Stella's sister.
She is six.
Her mama, Luna, is eight.
They both need a forever home.
We currently have five dogs in our home.

These sweet girls.
Isis is so amazing at sending me pictures as often as she can.
They cheer me right up!!!

Tell me you're the team mom and need to go grocery shopping without telling me that somehow you need to fit it all in!

It Has Sucked

Last week was ROUGH.
Burke's big brother, Justin, passed away on Tuesday.
Our basement flooded.
There was flooding, a fire, then mysterious fire alarms going off all on the same day at work.
We had two more dogs brought to our house that were Justin's.
We now have five dogs at our house.
It's a lot.
A LOT.

Cooper had his JV game on Thursday.
He played great.
After the game, he was looking for me which is weird.
After JV games, they go right to the locker room so the FROSH team can get going.
So I went down and he told me that he thought he was injured.
This is not normal for Cooper.
He hides injuries so he doesn't miss game time.
He told me he thought it was his shoulder or neck.
WHAT?!?!
He said he'd be fine to go to team dinner and then he'd let me know.
I left to go to Ryker's scrimmage.
When we all got home, he was in tears.
So, Burke and I took him to the ER for x-rays.
EVERYone was at the ER that night.

Sternoclavical separation and sprain.
Cool.
In a sling.
Cool.
(NOT COOL)
Could be two weeks... could be eight weeks.
He has an appointment with the orthopedist on Thursday.

Ryker played on Saturday and WON!
Go Titans!
Per usual, I ran around like a crazy person.
Being team mom is a lot.
But it doesn't suck.

Our kitchen pipe broke on Friday.
Just add that to the list.
Braxton came to fix it.
While he was fixing it, one of the new dogs escaped our backyard.
So after Braxton fixed the pipe, he built a gate.
That's right... built a gate.
Burke was at work.
I was running Ryker around.
Porter was helping clear out Justin's house.
SO BLESSED.
While building that, he found the reason for Kaydon's room flooding.
Broken sprinkler line.
Fixed that, too.
God wink!

In the midst of all of it, Rian sent me these sunset pictures.
I took a deep breath and told myself I could do this!

And we just keep going!
