Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Good morning all, hope this was an enjoyable week for everyone!

After spending a couple weeks here back in the capital of Hato Nuevo in Las Caobas I've felt quite blessed to say the least! I've gotten an awesome companion Elder hyte whose been super funny, enjoyable, and has been teaching me tons of games! Although my area is a buf smaller than my last it's still very which means we put ourselves in a new area every day. I've only ever seen each part of my area now twice, for some of them just once. Areas include: Bienvenida, buenas noches, CCE, CDE, tonca azul, and Pálave.

Success here is super easy to see, I've been praying for a long time for those who are ready to hear the Gospel and be willing to accept it, however as time has gone on I've changed that pray to help me teach to others needs as I reflect over and over on the passage in Doctrine and Covenants section 4 that makes it very clear that the field is white already to harvest. This passage got me feeling sad as I feel absolutely no one is ready for the message I have, but now I pray with joy knowing that they are ready, I just have to speak to them differently to help them as they progress to an eternal prospective.

This week I have a pray list for some of the people we're teaching if any of you guys would be willing to include them in your prayers!!

That's all for this week, sorry it's kinda short but if I include everything I've been doing you guys would just stop reading haha

Later my dudes! Love you all!

Heidi Hard

I think that I've started "75 Hard" about seven times.
I never went past Day Four, I think.
As you may, or may not, know it is an app that you put on your phone.
The requirements are:
75 days of:
Two 45-minute workouts a day (one must be outdoors)
One gallon of water a day
No alcohol
Ten pages of reading a personal development book a day
Daily picture of yourself
Following a diet
No cheat days

Ugh.

Literally gave up seven times, or more.
Recently, I realized that I was "struggling" with some things... thoughts and feelings and such.
I recognized that I needed to do more focusing on me.
So, I'm doing Heidi Hard.
My goal with Heidi Hard is to focus on Heidi.
It's to break through the resistance that I might be feeling.
It's to be more in-tune with my body and my mind and my spirit.
It's to remember how strong I am in every way.
It's to remember that it's MY job to love me and accept me and validate me.

So, Heidi Hard looks like this:
Hydration: Drink at least one gallon of water a day
Move my body: Every hour at work, I get up and move my body. I go to the bathroom and I do an exercise every time I get up.
I do a second workout everyday. This might be going to the gym. It might be doing a 30+ minute workout on YouTube. It might be going for a brisk walk while R is at football practice. It might be 30 minutes of yoga.
Nutrition: I eat when I'm hungry. My biggest meal is usually lunch. No added sugar junk food because it makes me feel yucky. I don't restrict anything unless it makes me feel icky, like dairy.
Light: I sit outside for 20 minutes a day.
Light: I listen to, or read, personal development talks and books each day for at least 30 minutes.
Rest: I get to sleep before 10 pm every night.
Journal: I journal every single day each category and what I eat every day. I also journal how I FEEL.

I'm on day eleven of Heidi Hard and I feel motivated to continue to take care of me.

I Spy With My Little Eye

Every morning, Stella and Burke sit on the porch and watch as R picks up the next door neighbor, C, to walk to school together.
Every morning, when I get these pictures I have to share them with everyone in the office.
They make EVERYone happy!

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Good morning all! How are we? This week wasn't necessarily a turn for the better it was just an odd turn!

This week we had transfers this week I've been in Hato Nuevo in the Zone of Las Caobas. This area is massive and is made to fit 2 sets of Elders. Members are really hardworking and love missionary work which is different and can be a little intimidating sometimes. There are also however many inactive members which is good when you have hardworking members.

Elder Hyte is totally done with his mission soon with the end of this transfer and one more he'll be going home. But he's funny and super kind!

There's a ton more walking here but people here just seem to be much more ready to listen to us, it's been a long time since I've had blessings like that!

Safe to say I miss some of the people in Hatillo and am adjusting day by day here in this area but the work doesn't change nor does my purpose... so let's keep going hard!

Till next week love you all tons!!

The Greens

Yesterday was our annual conference down in Tokyo.
No, I didn't see my T.
Tokyo is SOOOOO far away, Guys!

It was a perfect day.
It was hot AF, but it was beautiful.
The lake was clear and blue and the sun was shining off of it.
I was with my guys, minus Mr. Watkins who was told he had to stay behind.
After Beyta adjusted my swing and my tee, I was hitting some pretty semi-pro drives!
Beyta and Big Larry hit a -5!!
Not one bogey and they had a birdey shot at EVERY SINGLE HOLE.

I napped on the way home.
Per usual.

I love my guys.
So much.

Then I headed over to my other regular "greens."
Ryker and I had football practice!

Jorgensen Family

I'm not sure what I envisioned Jackson's family being like.
I knew he'd be a great husband and an incredible daddy.
I knew he'd love and respect his wife.
I knew he'd love his babies.
But, I had no idea how incredible his family would be.

Isis is beautiful, strong, independent, loyal, and the most amazing mommy.
She graduates in October.
She is smart and hard-working.
She is just the most amazing blessing.

Kehlani is feisty, smart as heck, beautiful, independent, vocal, sassy, and pure joy.
She is two.
And, she is ALL TWO.
Little Lady knows what she wants!
She is the most unending amount of love there is.

I am so grateful for this family of mine.
I am so proud of Jackson and the man he is.
