How It's Going

I am still homeless.
Thankfully, Burke is still allowing me and the doggos to stay at his house!
The dogs are not mad about it!
This nine year-old's favorite spot is wherever I am.
He is my cuddle bug!

We had a pretty relaxing weekend all-in-all, which is like a dream come true!

Hoops for Days

Basketball is in full swing.
Ryker is in two different leagues, two different teams.
Cooper is just playing in the recreation league.
Add practices to that and speed/agility training twice a week for both of them...
It's evenings full of sports.

Besties

Just what this Gigi needed - some Kehlani time yesterday!!
Her mommy and daddy had a doctor's appointment yesterday so they dropped her off at Papa's house.
She and Papa are besties!
They talk Papa and Kehlani language (Spanglish).
They cuddle and eat and color and watch movies and laugh together.

Ryker's bedroom tends to be the playroom.
She went in there by herself for a little bit and just played.

Gigi's chapstick is always a hit, too.

She looks so much more grown up every single time I see her.
I need time to stop... for real!
She is so smart. So engaged. So social. So funny. So amazing!!

My Becky texted me this morning.
I told her that today is the first day that I'm starting to feel like myself again.
I went yesterday to get another week's worth of clothes.
I didn't cry this time, but I got myself back out of there as soon as possible.
I know that things could be so much worse and that there are far worse things going on in the world.
I also know that this flooding of my house has been devastating to me and I am honoring those emotions and feelings as best I can, while still moving forward.

New Year Flooding

"Happy" New Year.
I was sick all of last week.
Really, really sick.
Thanks to this guy... per usual.
He took care of me and everyone and everything else!
I started to feel better on Saturday, just to find out that my house flooded.
I have not cried that hard in over a year!
Sobbed.
Could not breathe sobbing.
Burke came, gathered up the dogs and me and loaded us up.

This boy is my snuggle buddy.
He cuddles with me every day and it is just the best.
Seriously, such a blessing.

I put on my workout shoes and got my workout in.
One of my vitals is moving my body.
When I move my body, I can think more clear and act/react better.

Braxton and Mia came over New Years Eve night.
It was so good to see them and cuddle and talk and laugh.
They find out what Baby Jorgensen is on Thursday!!

The dogs are comfy at Dad's house.
Have I mentioned Burke is incredible?

Maybe I'll have a home again in a couple of weeks??

Christmas Part Three - Christmas Day

Christmas morning.
Burke was going nutso because the kids weren't waking up.
He was SO excited.
Cooper woke up first and got everyone else to open their eyes, too.

Bubba slept over, so we had Bubba (Burke's Braxton), Porter, Cooper, and Ryker.

And let's not forget Stella.

These boys were in San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears Heaven!

Check out that chain!

So much love!

Burke took the three youngest to their mom's later on Christmas Day.
It was just Burke and I for the remainder of Christmas.
We watched football and made a ham dinner.

My Braxton and Mia were sick and so we haven't been able to open gifts with them yet.
Hopefully this weekend!!!

Christmas Part Two - Christmas Eve

Burke had to work Christmas Eve morning.
I finished running errands, then went to his house to get ready.

Rian, Tyler, and Aria came over.
I was given a gift bag with this darling shirt and key chain.
Burke was given a bottle with candy in it that read, "Papa Squared."
Rian is pregnant with their second child...
Due a few weeks after Isis and Mia.
We went to Grandpa Dave's house for Christmas Eve dinner.
Dave is Burke's step-dad.
Burke's mama passed away a couple of years ago.
We ate yummy food and visited for a little bit.
The Grinch even made an appearance!

Tyler, Rian, and Aria came back over to open their gifts with us.

Papa spoiled Aria, per usual!

I got Aria and Kehlani personalized coloring books!
They are darling.
These two little misses LOVE coloring with Gigi.

Burke has been getting Rian a Holiday Barbie every year since she was born.
I love that this year's Barbie is a redhead!

Aria with her snow globe.

Grandpa Dave came over and visited a little bit.
He is very good about spending just a few minutes with each boy.

I was in bed by 9 pm.
Per usual.
