Papa - Uncle - Squish

I have been getting non-stop videos and photos from Papa & Uncle Cooper this morning.
It's killing me!
They have Squish this morning.
It's Fall Break, so the boys are out of school.
It's Thursday, so Papa is off.
Mia had a hair appointment, so Squish is hanging out with the boys.

This Gigi is JEALOUS.
He's the sweetest and he LOVES his papa.
And Uncle Coop is his best friend.

"Get me out of this car seat, Papa!"

If you've been praying for our Squish, thank you.
The doctor's office called Mia on Tuesday and they are squeezing him in for yet another helmet fitting late this afternoon.
Prayers that this one will work, for no more sores, for his head and bones to heal quickly so that his eye sight and hearing is not permanently damaged.

Watch Dog

Burke still sends me these pictures each morning:
Ryker walking nextdoor to get C & M.
Ryker, C & M walking to school together.
Stella watching to make sure they get to the end of the street carefully while Dad drinks his morning coffee on the porch.

I love our neighborhood.
I love these daily pictures.
I LOVE that my flowers are still going strong!!

And, this boy man.
My Colton.
He is so amazing!

Sunday Funday

Mia & Braxton met Jackson & Isis up at Snowbird on Sunday for a little time away.
Jackson and Isis now live very close to her parents.
So they left the girls with them, while Braxton and Mia brought Hudson to us.

Hudson should be wearing a helmet 23 hours a day.
It's actually a pretty serious situation.
His facial bones are growing incorrectly which effects eyesight, hearing, his jaw bones and ability to eat in the future.
This darn helmet has been the biggest nightmare.
Mia has had it re-fitted three times and it continues to rub pressure sores onto his head.
These can scar, or become infected, so she has to remove the helmet time and time again until the refit it again and again.
He's currently without it until the 26th because that's the earliest they can see him.
Please pray for him and the doctors to know what to do!

He loves his Uncle Cooper.
He is so much happier without the helmet because it hurts him!

He's the silliest.
He loves his Papa and will follow him with his eyes all over the house.
He loves to giggle and jabber.
He's such a big boy and just such a love!!!

Until Next Year

Early Saturday morning, Burke and Ryker and I headed out.
First - coffee for Dad, whipped cream for me, sausage breakfast burritos for all & a peach-mango smoothie for Ryker!
Then, to Bear River we drove.
The drive to and from was breathtaking!
The leaves are ALL changing. The mountains are just absolutely Heavenly.
Willard Bay looks even more beautiful in the Fall, I think.
Bear River is this quaint little town that has pumpkin patches with a little homemade box to put your money in when you choose a pumpkin... completely unmanned.
There are farms, where you might stop to get halftime fruit for the football players.
Dreamy.
SO dreamy.

These boys barely lost their second playoff game.
Most of the boys were crying.
Which makes this mama cry, too.
Most of this group play all the sports together: baseball, basketball, and football.
It really is a family atmosphere - for them and the families.

Burke caught a picture of the Eclipse while I was waiting for the game to start in the very warm truck.

Then to basketball we went.
With football over for the year, it's now all about basketball.
It literally never ends!

Saturday night after we got home, Ryker joined me in bed (per usual).
Gus did, too.
I fell asleep while they watched videos and Burke kicked Ryker out of our bed!

Unglued

Hudson had his fourth helmet appointment yesterday.
Mia sent me this picture of his excitement complete irritation that he was back AGAIN to get this thing refitted again.
He's not having it.

I may or may not remove his helmet for a couple of hours when I have him all day.
The poor kid's head just sweats and sweats and gets red and he's unhappy which Gigi is just not here for!

Speaking of not being here for it...
Pardon me while I vent for a moment. Or don't.
I am a clean person.
My boys and I have never had a lot.
In fact, we have had very very little.
So, keeping things clean and organized was no crazy task.
It was how I did my best to make wherever we were living at the time a home.
That is how I live the best:
Organized.
Clean.
Everything in its place.
Certainly not in an obsessive manner.
You still don't want to like eat off my floors.
But, it was cleaned up.

Let's just say that things are not like that in my newer living situation. 👀
Let's just say there is a LOT more things in a LOT more places in a LOT of different stages of being.
Let's just also say that I am not okay.
Let's also just say that the three youngest boys' phones have been shut off-ish.
Let's just say they're not currently my biggest fans.

Okay, Happy Weekend.

Just Another Day in Paradise

Mia has started her own business!
She goes to houses and grooms dogs and cats.
She tries to schedule on Wednesday afternoons and weekends so that Hudson can be with us!
This boy is SO strong!
Yes, he is still wearing his helmet.
Yes, I took it off for a little bit because he was sweating so much that it was causing redness.

When he work up from his nap, he just wanted to snuggle Papa.
He's such a sweet babe.

But he let Gigi snuggle him for his entire nap!

Then it was football.
This is Burke's view at Cooper's sophomore game.

This was my view at Ryker's practice.

I caught this picture.
Yes, from the comfort of my vehicle.
With the bum warmer on.

Sunrises & Smiles

I feel blessed every morning that, as I drive east to get to the freeway, I am able to witness the sunrise.
Viewing the sunrise always begins my prayer time.
I talk to Heavenly Father in the car on the way to work.
Almost always, it starts with me thanking him for the sunrise... a reminder that it's a new day and that He's in charge.
That gratitude is almost followed by how thankful I am for Pepper.
I LOVE driving Pepper.
I never, ever take her for granted!

Baby Hendrix has started smiling so much!
When he's not eating, which is always, he's a smiley little Muffin!
And that red hair is just so cute!
