Snow Daysssss

It's winter.
In Utah.
It's a little out of hand, if I'm being honest.
The dogs think it's awesome.
Their mom does not.
I'm counting down to Cabo.

Date Morning

Papa & Gigi got dressed up and went to Kaydon's missionary homecoming talk.
He did such a beautiful job.
I know that he was an incredibly spiritual missionary, unafraid to tell people that he believes in Christ and they should too.
It was fun to have the concluding speaker of the meeting be Keila.
Keila lives two doors down from my mother.
She was born and raised in the Dominican Republic.
It was really wonderful to hear from her after hearing about my boy's experiences.

We had Hudson yesterday.
Gigi was off for MLK Day.
So were the boys.

Cooper and Hudson have this really special relationship.
Cooper came out as soon as I got home with Huds and took him from me.
They watched some football.
Watched some TikTok videos on Coop's phone.
"Chatted."
Then, suddenly, Hudson was asleep!
HOW DID YOU DO THAT, Coop?!

The Squish and I took Cooper to speed and agility in Layton.
Squish and I hung out in the car for an hour.
He was just as happy as could be!

It's Freaking Freezing

Burke and the dogs sit on our front porch every morning whilst watching Ryker walk next door to pick up Colton & Marilyn to walk to school.
Yes, that is our son in shorts.
No long pants.
And a hoodie.
Cooper dresses the exact same way.
My big boys dressed the exact same way.
Boys!!

Isis sent this to me this morning.
ALL THE FEELS.
We got Kehlani this princess tent for Christmas.
She is the actual best big sissy!
And I love that she likes wearing Uncle Ryker's shirts!
Delilah LOVES her sister.

And these pictures...
LOVE HER!

Eggs & June Bug

Stop growing, Babies!!!
Mia sent me these pictures yesterday.
Hudson sitting like a big boy in his high chair and trying eggs.
By "trying," I mean: picking them up, mushing them, then throwing them on the floor!

We got us some Delilah time yesterday!
This sweet June Bug.

Loves her Papa.
Just chatting him up with him.
She does the cutest face where she scrunches her eyes and nose and smiles with her two little bottom teeth showing!

So independent!
LOVES to sit up!

After Papa took Uncles to sports, I got her to sleep and just got to snuggle her.
It was the best!!

This Squirt

As I pulled into the driveway last night, he was running across our front yard waving his arms.
In shorts.
He ran to my car window and explained that he heard the "Amber Alert," and knew he needed to walk C (our next door neighbor) home because it was going to be zero degrees and lots of snow and C needed to be safe so he did that...
First of all, it was a weather alert.
Secondly, my kid is in shorts and concerned about getting our next door neighbor home safe because it's going to be really cold.
Third, he didn't stop talking...
"What did you do at work? What happened at work? I don't have homework. I think the Bears should hire Vrabel..."

Then he helped me bring in the garbage cans and gave me a big hug.
Also, he is now up to my eyes.
Stop growing, our youngest boy.

How It Goes

I really love this image.
This is an image of my daily weigh-ins.
Up and down and all around.
Big spikes.
Some low lows.
THIS.IS.LIFE.

I kind of love it.

I have loved this program I'm doing.
It's really helped me to focus better on my personal accountability, understand what food feels good to my body and what food does not feel good, learn about my body at this age and love it right where it is!

The lesson yesterday was on having a healthy relationship with food.
There are four points.
Yes, it absolutely relates to relationships with food.
But I also feel so strongly that it applies to our relationship with feelings and emotions, too!!!

1. Permission to eat all foods
2. Enjoying all foods without feelings of guilt or shame
3. Making mindful food choices
4. Honoring your body's feedback

Isn't that so great?!?!

Also, I've had tape-in then i-tip hair extensions for a few months.
The purpose of them was to add volume.
I'm over it.
LOL.
I'm just ready to have my natural hair be natural again.
BUT, Mama is still going to color my gray... so natural is just an ish-word.

It's a Bronco

Our house was unexpectedly full yesterday.
I love this.
I love that family just shows up whenever they want to.
Braxton & Mia
Rian & Tyler
Bubba & Suzanne

Hudson & Hendrix are really starting to notice each other.
They were sucking on each other's feet, laughing at each other, having their little guy conversations... so cute!
Hudson is two months older than Hendrix.

Hudson got his new johnny jumper.
He LOVES it!!!!

Papa decided that the three youngest grandbabies, and one on the way, and all of the others we will have, needed a bouncer at Papa & Gigi's house.
He came home with a Bronco.
It's a Bronco.
Yes, it's kind of a bouncer.
And a walker.
And, yes, it beeps and stuff.
It also has a little shifter that must taste delicious because both boys went right for it!

These dogs, though.
Stella thinks she's a lap dog.
She isn't.
Kaya gets jealous of Stella.
Bubba was trying to pet both.
Eventually, Kaya laid her head on Bubba and Stella laid her head on Kaya.

First game of the winter rec basketball season for Ryker.
It literally takes everything in me to make it through basketball seasons!
Balls bouncing, whistles being blown, parents yelling at refs, refs yelling at parents, buzzers left and right...
Everything in me.
