Busy

I really can't believe how busy my life is...
I think that I look back on being a single mom of four boys and wondering if my life would ever be less busy.
It isn't!
It's busy, busy.
Joyfully busy.

I got to FaceTime with this Monkey yesterday.
She was wearing a cape and said her superpower was saving Mommy and Hendrix from the bad guys.
She poses for EVERY picture taken.
I kind of can't get enough of it.

Papa and Gigi had Kehlani, Delilah, and Hudson on Wednesday.
It was a maternal appointment for Jackson and Isis.
It was a dentist appointment for Mia.
Talk about busy!!!

I tried to keep at least one contained at a time.
Papa and I took all of them into the front room and block off the entry way with my body.
It was a NO-GO.
The crawlers are on.the.go!!
They are everywhere.
It was comical.
I kind of wish it was all videotaped.

Kehlani was trying to play "Library," so she wanted it quiet.
That, in and of itself, was comedy.
Papa was trying to keep the three dogs out.
The two babies were crawling all over the dang place.

When parents began to arrive, Burke and Cooper went to Walmart for sauce I forgot I needed for dinner and came home with these GORGEOUS flowers.

The two of them have been working so hard to get a spot ready for me downstairs to start going LIVE again.
It's in a corner, in front of a window.
It's now got a backdrop, even though you can still see the unfinished ceiling.
There are lights up, which need to be moved around.
I need to mess with the angles and lighting for sure.
But they worked so hard and I'm so grateful.

Also, Porterman is getting a bearded dragon.
He built a table to go in his room, and built this cage for his new homie.
SO talented!

Can't Wait

We are a pretty lucky Papa & Gigi today.
Mia has a dentist appointment, so she's dropping Hudson off to me before I leave work at noon.
Isis and Jackson have a maternity appointment this afternoon, so they'll be bringing Kehlani and Delilah to us.
We haven't seen them in over a month and miss them so, so much.
I can't wait.

Dog Days

The 2 - 3 nights a week that the boys aren't home, we have to open Cooper's bedroom door.
This is why.

The doggos miss their humans and cry until we let them go in and sleep on his bed.
Seriously.

The Weekend

Ryker, and his Cool Shots team, played their last game of the season.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thrilled!
Basketball is my least favorite sport, for sure.
Lots of reasons...
One of them is that most of the time, ALL fans sit together.
Parents are dumb dumbs and say really dumb dumb things...
In fact, they're bullies.
I hate it.
And, basketball is just not my thing.
Ryker loves it.
He mostly loves being with his friends.
I love his friends.
So, I support all of it.

Of course, these two watched it all together.
Best buddies forever.
And ever.

I got to hang out with Hudson Saturday!
His mommy and daddy went to Uncle Jackson and Aunt Isis's house.
I'm really proud of my kids.
They do their best to have a hangout session once a month.
Hudson is less than awesomely behaved at their house for some reason, so Gigi's house it is!!!

He did NOT take a nap.
Not even a wink.
He was so happy and such a good boy.
He even went with me to get my nails done.
I put him in my front carrier to keep him tied to me!
The ladies there love him.
He laughs and jabbers and tries to grab at everything.
I thanked him for letting Gigi get her nails done!

Sunday, Miss Aria came over with Uncle Bubba and Aunt Suzanne.
She had a girls night with Suzanne.
Nails, masks, facials...
Uncle Bubba brought them both flowers, too.
I am SO grateful for the examples these babies have!

Hendrix came a little later with their mommy and daddy.
Mr. Hendrix is attached to Gigi lately and Gigi is not one bit sad!!
He is eating all the things, jabbering about all the things, giggling about all the things.
Such a sweet boy!

Always There

I captured these moments in time last night.
Burke doing what he does.
Dadding.

It doesn't matter what the boys (and girls) are doing, he is always there.
Teaching.
Directing.
Supporting.
Spending time.
With all of them.

He will never not be there for them.
They are the luckiest.

Snow Ready for Spring

This is the view from my office window this morning.
Snow.
HUGE flakes of snow.
It is beautiful, but I am not a winter girl.
I'm not a snow girl.
I am SO ready for Spring!!!

And, can you get enough of this little Squish?!?!
This is at his nine month checkup on Tuesday.
I LOVE how he folds his arms... so patiently waiting.
Such a gentleman!

STOPPPP!!!

Yesterday was the second day in a row that I came home to an eaten children's book in the front room.
I yelled.
Then I locked the dogs outside whilst taking a time out.
And vacuuming.
Again.

I don't even know where they are getting these from!!!
