Trackin'

Burke and I attended Cooper's track meet yesterday TOGETHER!

Burke was only able to see a race here and a race there when Coop was in junior high due to the schedule.

It's fun that he's able to be there this year for the ones during the week.

And, there are a lot more meets for high school.

So it's fun.

What's not fun is that high schoolers don't sit in the stands with ME in between races.

I miss having Coop and his friends sit with me in the stands, eating and staying warm, in between their races.

But, such is life.

He did awesome yesterday in both of his races!

 

They Know

I have been struggling a great deal for the last two weeks.

Insomnia.

Dark thoughts.

No energy or motivation to move or do anything physically.

Crying.

A mess.

I've been a mess.

I've been a lot more needy, too.

I've needed to be close to Burke all the time.

I've just been in a really dark place.

Not sure why... which makes it even harder...

Anywho, this boy just seems to know.

Sunday, he followed me around and would plop down next to me and make sure he was snuggling me.

He'd play on his phone, but be right with me.

It was a God wink.

He made sure he was with me all the time and I needed that.

I'm so grateful that they just know...

Just know when mama needs the cuddles.

Cooper is officially licensed.

8/9 licensed!

He looks like a man lately.

It makes this mama heart kind of sad!

 

B is for Branch

Aria was a Branch for her alphabet parade at school!

"B" is for Branch.

Is she not the cutest little branch ever?!

Little Brother, Hendrix, is a WILD MAN!!!

He is everywhere and anywhere all the time.

Love these babies so much!

 

Hudson & Gigi Date

March's Gigi Date was with our Hudson Dean.

Sweet Boy was TIRED when I picked him up.

Daddy had laid him down for a nap, but he was uninterested.

So, we went off to Sea Quest TIRED!

He was still such a good boy.

He thought that the fish were OK, but was none too pleased with the birds.

By the time we got to the goats and pigs, he was ready to go see Papa!

So, we ditched the eating lunch portion of our date and went home to see Papa...

And vacuum.

 

Run Cooper Run

Yesterday was the first track meet of the season for Cooper.

His first year in "high school," even though he's a sophomore.

He did the 100 meter, the 200 meter, and the long jump.

"I hate the long jump," was his reaction to the new event for him.

He got the second highest sophomore time in the 100 meter, and almost hit a PR in the 200 meter.

It's going to be a good year!

Hudson FaceTimed me during the event.

He sat just like this for 15 whole minutes, waiting to see Uncle Cooper run.

It was the sweetest thing EVER!

 

De La Clutcha

De La Cruze needs a new clutch.

She's been sitting back in our driveway for a month while Porter has ordered the clutch and been taking care of it all.

Originally, the clutch that was sent was the wrong one.

The right one came.

But then we needed an engine hoist.

It's a whole thing.

Hopefully, Porterman will be able to get it taken care of this weekend and De La will go back to Rian and Tyler for Tyler to drive to work.
