Thrifty

I am a HUGE FAN of freaking thrift shopping.

I am a HUGE FAN of trading my clothes in for "new" used clothes.

I am a HUGE fan of $5 outfits like this one I'm wearing today.

 

Blooming

I needed to take a walk last night.

Alone.

I put on some music that makes me sing out loud no matter who else is around.

I purposefully looked for signs of Spring.

And, I walked.

I am obsessed with trees and shrubs and flowers that are waking up from their long slumber.

I found them.

I took pictures of them.

And, I sang!!

 

Sweet Rosebud

When I went to get Delilah on Saturday, I was able to rock this sweet Melanie Rose to sleep.

She's been sick.

So snotty.

Coughing.

She is the sweetest.

The cutest.

The most calm.

She is our little Rose Bud.

 

Sunday Sunshine

I went and got Hudson Sunday morning.

Mia is not working anymore, so we don't get him Thursday and Friday mornings anymore.

We spent hours outside on Sunday.

He is just so happy to explore and learn and discover and be outside with Papa and Uncles.

The sun was shining.

It felt SO magical.

He vacuumed and swept and mopped (his favorite things to do).

He pulled out the booster chairs and got in and out of them over and over and over again.

We watched Papa power wash the house.

I just love Spring SO much.

 

Gigi & Delilah Date

Oh, this girl!!!

Saturday was Gigi & Delilah Date Day!

I got to Taylorsville High School at 8 AM to watch Cooper's 100m race.

Then I headed to Pleasant Grove to get my Lilah June!

This girl is so magical.

So independent.

So feisty.

So amazing!

We went to Black Bear Diner for brunch.

She got a cute pancake with whipped cream, strawberries, bananas, and chocolate chips.

Gigi got an omelet and a biscuit with Diet Coke!

Delilah ate her whipped cream, fruit and chocolate chips.

Then she ate all of the ice cubes out of Gigi's Diet Coke.

As you do.

Barnes and Noble was next up.

She was obsessed with the bookstore!

SO much to see and touch and mumble about!

We got a Bluey book.

Bluey is the girls' favorite right now.

We got a teddy bear.

And we got more Diet Coke!!

She'll be two in June.

I am just in love with this little one.

 

Good Morning, Sunshine

I caught a glimpse of sunshine coming over my beloved mountain peaks this morning.

I thanked God for the view I get to have every day.

Then, I sang "I Feel My Savior's Love" out loud the rest of my way to work.

 

Change of Plans

A couple of months ago, I helped Kaydon fill out the loads of paperwork to try to get Lenny and Gael to the United States.

It's quite a process.

It's A LOT.

We completed it and sent it off.

Then, Kaydon and Lenny decided that for now the best thing for them is for Kaydon to move to the Dominican Republic.

Kaydon plans to finish up his online schooling while there.

They will get married there.

Begin their family there.

And then move back in a couple of years.

I am not as sad as I thought I would be.

I know that this is what he wants.

This is what he's been working toward.

They don't want to have to wait any longer to be together and to start their family.

This is the best route for them and I'm so happy for him.

So, after the weddings...

Off to the DR he goes.
