Sixth Grade Graduation

Ryker, and his buddy Tripp, walked to elementary school for the final time yesterday morning.

I may or may not have cried.

I cried.

He and Tripp have been friends since kindergarten.

They are best buds and we adore Tripp.

They had their sixth grade program.

Burke was able to be there, thankfully.

I wasn't.

He and Boston.

He and Boston have played all the sports together for years.

That is the end of elementary school for our nine kiddos!

It feels so weird.

I've really tried to soak up Ryker's childhood.

I feel like there was so much of my big boys' childhood that I missed out on.

Working, working, and more working...

But, I've been able to be there for Ryker's much more.

I love this caboose of ours.

He's my sweet helper, my best hugger, my cuddler (even though he's as tall as me now), my comedian.

We love him so big!

Off to junior high next year!

 

Tied the Knot

Oh, these sweet kids.

How we love them!

Colton and Diana went to the courthouse and got married yesterday.

I am so, incredibly proud of how they advocated for themselves and decided this was the most comfortable way to do it - without lots of people there.

There love is so fun to watch.

Laughter constantly.

Adventure constantly.

Figuring out life and all it has to give and take together is so fun to watch.

They love each other exactly as they are. 

What a gift!

We are having a fun shower for them on Monday, followed by a reception for them on the 31st.

We love them!!

 

4-Seam

We taught Ryker about the 4-seam fastball this weekend.

It brings me more joy than you might ever know!

His recreation baseball coach put him on the mound game one.

I panicked.

We hadn't taught him how to pitch at all.

Hadn't taught him about hips, legs, elbow, shoulder, how to hold the ball, where to release the ball... any of it.

I told him that we will teach one pitch each week.

Right now, he's focusing on the 4-seam.

This weekend, we'll teach him the circle changeup.

In a couple of weeks, we'll teach him the 2-seam.

That's where it will end.

NO breaking balls until he's at least 16.

 

May Family Dinner

I take a lot of pictures of the grand babies; not so many of their parents.

Listen, People.

It's BUSY with everyone there each month for family dinner.

We try, as usual, to disperse our attention to everyone.

The grand babies take the cake.

We missed Rian, Tyler, Aria and Hendrix.

Bubba and Suzanne were there - no pictures of them because I suck!

Porter, Cooper and Ryker were of course there, too.

Again... I suck.

These kiddos are so fun and funny.

Delilah and Hudson are not getting along too great.

Two year olds!

Melanie Rose is just so happy and so fun.

She was so silly and climbed into the toy ottoman.

Love this family of ours!

 

How It's Going

Obsessed.

I am obsessed with how my Mother's Day flowers are opening up and flourishing!

The smell in my kitchen and family room area is incredible.

They are just so stunning in every way!

I got my hair done did yesterday on my half day.

I love how Madi just takes artistic liberty with the colors she puts in my hair.

It is so fun!

I will NEVER tire of FaceTiming my little loves!

Melrose is just SO fun and so animated!

 

Baseball Season

Baseball season is in full-swing. 

Ryker is #9 on the Dodgers.

It's the best time of year!

 

The Huds

Hudson got one-on-one time with Papa and Gigi on Thursday.

He was quite happy about it!

He was so busy being so busy!!

He and Papa did allllll the things!

He loves his Papa & Gigi time!

We love our Hudson time!!!
