NO Bored Kids

Last Friday, I sat the kids down in the Target Cafeteria and went to find some things in the dollar section. I had a goal to put together a "no bored kids" bucket. My sweet boys are home all summer without their mama, except on Wednesdays when I get to be home with them. Even though we have a trampoline, an entire school yard to run and play on, an x-box and playstation, I still get those dreaded phone calls... "MOM! I'm SOOOO bored. There is NOTHING to do." I do not love those phone calls. So, I put together a bucket. Right now there are flashcards, comprehension worksheets for each of their learning levels, puzzles, coloring boards, side walk chalk to draw a city on the driveway, muffin mixes to bake muffins, playdough to make creations, paper to write letters, and marshmallows with toothpicks to create structures. There was also water balloons for water balloon fights. Those were gone first! I bought a few other things and will add to the bucket in a couple of weeks. So far, so good!
