Spring PS Picnic

Boy oh boy was Wednesday a rough hump day!
I woke up weeping.
I went to work and started to weep again.
Right before the whole thing started, I hid away in the restroom stall and wept again.
Then, I put on my big girl panties and went and did the thing!

I missed P an extra lot this year.
I wanted so badly for him to come visit and be a part of it... telling stupid jokes and visiting with everyone and mixing the salads and calling me "Sis."
But, I had my Mr. Watkins and I had my Beyta.
And that was enough!

We didn't have softball because of the never-ending rain we seem to be having.
But, my Streets guys cleaned out the bays under the large canopy where all of our trucks and big yellow machines sit.
Parks brought tables and chairs and they were set up in no time.
My guys filled up coolers with ice and drinks.
Beyta and Mr. Watkins took me to Sam's Club to get all the grub.
Structural Maintenance grilled up 200 steaks.
And the crews ate and ate and ate.
We ran out of food for the first time since I started doing this four years ago.

There were smiles and laughs and hugs and fist bumps.
We did it.
Again.
Until Fall.

My Rodeo

Matt and I went on a ride by ourselves this weekend.
He rode his horse (Fritz).
I rode Winchester.
This was my second time riding Winchester.
The first time, he was an absolute dream.
He has been on all of the rides with us and was a perfect angel.
Well, something went wrong.
There we were, right between a steep hill down and a steep hill up and Winchester decided he did not want anyone on him anymore. I did everything I have ever been taught to do on a horse. Matt was able to get close enough to me with Fritz that he was able to grab the halter and get the bit out of his mouth. I got off of Winchester carefully and got onto Fritz.
Matt tried to get control of Winchester.
It was rough.
He tried to buck Matt off.
Matt used the halter and plow drove him home the whole way.
Fritzy was so sweet and gentle with me the whole way home.
Fritz got to graze on the front lawn while Winchester watched.

The next day, we took Coleman with us.
This time, I rode Jasmine. She's pretty much perfection, but it was my first time riding her.
I love her!
Coleman rode Teddy.
We were going to pony the two wild mustangs, but Teddy wasn't having that!
So, we just enjoyed a nice calm ride.

Matt had to catch two loose neighbor horses.
He did it like it was nothing but a thing!
And all was well.

Colton's Weekend

Colton went with his other family this weekend to go have some fun!
Dalila took the kiddos to her brother's house (Uncle Craig).
The kids played on the trampoline, played some hoops, had an outdoor movie, made a campfire, had some s'mores, and played at the local playground.
She made sure to wear them right out!
I am so thankful for this village, where we raise our children together so that they have lots of family and so much love!

Missionary Moment - Chile Vina Del Mar Mission

Buenos días!

Hey what is going on everyone! I hope that everyone had an awesome week and that you are all ready for an awesome week!!

So first things first, I have an assignment! I was called to be a trainer and they are sending me to open up a new sector! Crazy awesome stuff. They are sending me to a place called Achupallas and I will be training over there. I´m pretty excited! So they have me going to office on wednesday for a trainer meeting and then I will meet my new comp!

We had a ton of fun in this companionship and I hope that I can hang out with Elder Jack after the mission, good man him. We had an experience with some girls this week! Not bragging more of kind of weird. We ended up sitting in a house waiting for the family to be ready for a family home evening and in the end two girls winked at us and we ended up leaving! We did not want to be in that situation...freaky.

Family, friends, anyone else who may be reading this email. I understand that there are many things negative that are happening in the family, or in your lives in general. I understand that people make choices and other people may not agree with those choices. This includes myself. We are not perfect and we have a lot to improve on always, But people, we are adults, or at least able to understand whats going on. My invitation for you all is to be someone better. We can always better ourselves and I hope that this doesnt make this email negative because it isnt meant to be. But please take the invitation.

I love you all and I hope you all have a wonderful week and are all working the hardest that you can!!

P.S. the picture that looks like weed in a jar is NOT weed peeps. Its just a bunch of "mate" (tea that isnt against the word of wisdom) that was gifted to me from a member lol

I Freaking Made It To Friday!

I talked to this handsome guy Monday.
I LOVE Mondays.
He is so handsome.
His laugh makes me giggle.
Oh, how I LOVE him.
Pictures of this one.
Waylon is my baby.
He is such a cuddler.
Sometimes when Matt and I talk, he'll put me on speaker so that I can talk to WayWay. Waylon just wags his tail and licks the phone.

Last weekend, I was pulled over and didn't have a copy of my insurance in my car.
Ticket.
I now have a picture of the damn thing on my phone - front and back.

Kaydon still has not given birth to his kidney stones.
He's not happy about that.
Braxton will get his stitches out next week.
The finger is healing.
Colton is SO excited for school to be over.
He asked for extra coffee in his drink this morning.
I took SnapChat pictures this morning because I could.
We made it to Friday this week by some freaking miracle.
Here's to the long weekend!

Can I bail?

Do you ever just want to bail?
Do you ever just want to throw in the towel and call it good for now?
Do you ever just wonder what more your weary shoulders can possibly handle?

I'm at that point.
I'm at my breaking point and I know it and there just isn't a lot I can do about it.
So, I try to comfort my children and keep my prayers to, "I need you."

Kaydon has been having severe abdominal pain for about a week and a half.
Tuesday night, he was at work and could not take it anymore.
He came home and to the ER/Instacare/Layton Hospital we went.
They've seen us three times in May and once last month.
It's getting ridiculous.

They could see that he was in a lot of pain.
They did a CT scan and found kidney stones in both kidneys.
Kaydon is quite young for this to be happening.

They also feel that there are issues within his GI system, but his medical history is very scary to doctors who are not familiar with these issues.
His nissen is still in tact, which is very important.
If it comes undone, that is life threatening.

After he passes the stones, we will make an appointment with his specialist, the AMAZING Dr. Mizell. He will then have tests done to see what else is going on in his amazing body.

For now, he is on medication to open up his ureters and pain medicine to be able to live through it.
For now, we wait.

Stitches 'R Us

Yup.
Just another day in paradise.
Or, just another day at our house.
In fact, I don't even have to be in attendance.
They just have to call me and get verbal approval to treat my kids.

I know you want the story, because they are always so good.
Nothing normal from this Party of Five!

So, his granola fell on his driver's seat in his car.
He ran his fingers along the back crack of the seat.
While doing so, he cut his finger wide open.

Upon further investigation, nothing was found in the seat.
So, we have no idea how he cut his finger wide open.

Stitches.
R.
Us.

Missionary Moment - Chile Vina Del Mar Mission

Buenos días!

Goooood mornnnnniiiinnngg Vietnam! Name that movie. How are you all? I hope you are all working hard and doing the best you can every day! This past week was pretty normal for the life of a missionary. We have a lot of baptismal interviews coming up and so we are always traveling which is kind of nice sometimes just to do something different. We also reactivated a family that has been inactive for almost 7 years! They are a really good family. Then we had a baptism on Saturday and the girl ended up asking for my companion to visit her after his mission...proud of him!

I hope everyone is doing well. I´m going to try something different with the emails and try to read not as many. I think it will help a little bit with time management and I can get a little more done. But keep on sending the emails and I will get back to all of you for sure! Love you all and keep working hard!

I dont have pics this week sorry!

Missionary Moment - Chile Vina Del Mar Mission

Buenos días a todos!

This week was pretty long for me to be honest. Nothing bad happened but I think it was more of an obedience thing for us so it was a little longer. We had a really awesome week, and taught a ton of people. We made new goals and games to play when we talk to people in the street which makes finding people to serve and teach a little more fun! Elder Jack is an awesome example to me and continues to help me along the way here. We have made a plan to have a huge desert party after the mission so we are looking forward to that!

The ward here is super hard to work with. No one wants to help the missionaries and it makes our job a little harder. But we will continue to do what we are doing and have fun while doing it! I loved calling yesterday for mothers day and the opportunity to talk to everyone. Brax seems to be doing friggin awesome in school and work, proud of that kid. Kaydon is the funniest kid, he will be 17 this year so look out ladies you got a "unique" guy coming your way! LOL And Colton is doing awesome too which is good. Glad to hear that everyone is getting along and sharing the love.

I got some pictures together for you guys so here ya go! Love you all and have an awesome week!!
