On my drive home from Midway, I was inspired to go east rather than taking I-80 West.
So, I did.
I drove and drove until I came to I-84.
I love this drive.
I love that canyon.
As I passed Jordanelle Resevoir very early in the drive, I was bummed that I didn't pull over and take pictures.
Commercial break: One thing that Becky and I discussed was really committing to let go of the false self (the world, the natural man). We also talked about making things extra special in our lives; celebrate moments!
Back to your regularly scheduled program:
So, I was very intentional about pulling off the freeway to look at Echo Resevoir.
I sat down in the weeds and I meditated.
I breathed.
I talked to Heavenly Father and I talked to Jesus (more on that, too).
I watched the birds.
Mostly, though, I took it all in.
The things we NOTICE when we are not driving fast to get to where we are going, or when the noise is so loud is SO amazing!
I just was.
I just was in peace.
I am learning to stop.
Walk.
Move my body.
Listen!!
In order to listen, we have to be silent.
