Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Elder Jorgensen sent two emails this week.
Both are below.

What a week friends and family!

Jackson + Isis are having a girl and Braxton + Mia a boy!! Shoot I'll be an uncle of 3 when I come home!

There was a 5.something magnitude earthquake and one of the Elders in our house was going #2 while it happened.. not too bad, another area in my mission called Baní got it a little worse.. pray for the people here.

We also had our baptism this week for Bartolo and he's doing great! We have a couple more baptisms this next Saturday so that's hype. I really hope to put some other friends on date before I leave after like 6 months in thd area I'll be shipping out (most likely) in about 2 weeks

This week we also have the opportunity to go to the temple. I've never felt more excited to focus myself on the temple more than anyone or anything. I hope to spiritually prepare myself to enter...there is certainly peace I wish to feel as I do.

Please pray for the missionaries and those that the missionaries help, which in total comes put to about everyone. Please pray that we can fulfill our goals and that we can feel joy as we serve.

I love each of you and I miss each of you.

 Elder Jorgensen

Good morning all! I hope all is well and pray you are strengthened everyday. I also pray that personal necessities are being filled in your lives. Remember my friends to focus yourselves on and in the temples. Don't forget what the Prophet of God is telling us to do now and what God is doing for us currently.

These past two weeks have been quite rewarding as I'm almost done with completing 6 months in this area I have done quite a bit. I'm seeing several inactive members come back to church and be reactivated. Some have even received callings and responsibilities to serve others.

This week however we were able to plan for the newly scheduled baptism for Bartolo who hadn't been baptized on the past date he had chosen due to a few doubts he had had but now he'll be making this convenant on Saturday. The following Saturday we'll be working on the baptism of Yesenia and Yeisi who have been working almost the whole time have in this area so my joy for them is very high as I know that in the future their lives will bless and change the course of others lives here as I move on.

Other strange highlights might include a few ducks I watched with my naked eyes be beheaded straight from the sack (they weren't killed beforehand)

We also watched a gang fight right outside our house which ended with one guy pulling out a pistol from his sagging pants and shooting in the air - the other guy who almost got shot then walked away with a bunch of women... so who actually won that fight..

Our friend brother Abad is literally my favorite member of all time.

The Book of Mormon is true and contains writing of ancient prophets called of God. Read it everyday. Pray about it.

God isn't a thought, nor a feeling. He is a person. A perfect person. As you pray talk to that perfect person who loves you with love and reverence.

I love you all so dearly!
