Kehlani & Delilah Time

We got to have the girlies for a little bit yesterday.

Girls

I mostly got videos of Lilah and pictures of Lani.
Lani was all about seeing Papa.
They took their walk to the gas station for a slurpee and chocolate donuts.
They played catch with the football.
Uncle Cooper played Legos with her and ate Captain Crunch Cereal with her.
Lilah ate and pooped and snuggled with Gigi mostly.
Baby Girl smiles for EVERYone but Gigi.
Literally.
She is the sweetest babe.
They informed us that they are moving to Utah County in about a month.
We are not okay.
Burke stays up at night looking for places for them to live up here by us.
They assure us they'll still come up on the weekends.
We are not okay.

Full Moon

Yesterday morning was a no good very hard morning.
We had no Diet Coke at home.
I figured I'd run into 7-11 on my way to work.
It was blocked off.
I texted Xavier to stop and get me a 44 ounce on his way in to the office.
He didn't get the message.
I went through everyone's office and their mini fridges.
Literally.
Nothing.
I went out to the shop and went through coolers.
Nothing.
This popped up on my memories and I rolled my eyes.
I (we) were desperate.

Caroline came in clutch.
She left her desk and went and got a 12-pack.
EVERYone was thanking her.
I'm fully aware that I have a problem.

People were so brutal yesterday.
Just rotten.
SO mean and harsh and condescending.
Terrible.
Xavier looked it up - full moon.
And a big full moon at that.
It's a real freaking thing.
Somehow the full moon has an effect on people and it's so awful.

When I finally got home last night and got Cooper's homework done with him and checked on Ryker at football practice, I looked out our back window.
God had painted the sky.
Again.
Sunsets are my jam.
I adore them.
They are such a comfort to me...
Like, you've done your best. Or maybe you haven't. But either way, you never have to do this day again.
Tomorrow is another day.
I find SO much peace in sunsets.

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Good morning all! No excuse for not sending an email last week.. yeah

I hope everyone's doing well and focusing your lives on what's most important. Remember that the "final objective of the gathering of Isreal is to bring the blessing of the temple to the children of men" - The Living Prophet.

These last 2 weeks have been ok for me. This area pretty hard but I least I can say I'm working with more members than ever. Outcomes will show in the very near future but it'll take a lot of following up with these people to get really progress.

Hurricane Franklin came through and even though we got almost no rain my prayers are with those who received more destruction and loss.

My companion is a vampire and doesn't sleep..

We had a baptism this past Saturday and for what I had been preparing for it could have gone a lot worse haha but everything according to the order in the church was done.

We're hoping things start cooling down as this is the season of hurricanes. From the beginning of August to about the end of November we'll be receiving a lot more rain.. however the tropical storms as built up because of the heat on the ocean... it's a win loose around here.

You guys are awesome

PS I know I didn't give explanation to my companion not sleeping.. I have none he just doesn't seem to go to bed.

 Much love

 Elder Jorgensen

Delilah Time

After my hair appointment yesterday, Isis dropped Delilah June off to me.
Kehlani got to have one-on-one time with Mama.
Delilah is the sweetest, most beautiful baby.
She loves to watch the ceiling fan, watch sports on TV with Papa, her big sissy, her mommy and daddy, cuddles, walks, and loves.
She is such a doll.
I think I put her down for like five minutes the entire time I had her.
I just wanted to hold her.

I put her in the handy dandy (most used tool in our house) front carrier and we walked down to the park to watch Ryker's football practice.
Jackson, Isis, and Kehlani met us down there.
Kehlani just wanted Papa.
They walked to the gas station to get an Icee, played in the dirt, "raced" around the grass, and just chatted like Lani and Papa do.

She is needing one-on-one time right now and we are all here to give it to her!

Hurricane Franklin

This boy is currently in lockdown in the Dominican Republic because of Hurricane Franklin.
Please pray for him!

Dear Jorgensen Family,

As you may have heard, the tropical storm Franklin is approaching the Dominican Republic. It's expected to be at its worst tomorrow morning but rainfall has already hit the coast.

We write this email to inform that we have taken all necessary safety precautions to keep Elder Jorgensen and his companion safe. Each missionary has received safety instructions, and has been told to keep the work of the Lord ongoing virtually all day today and tomorrow by the area presidency. We are in constant communication with the Caribbean area offices and an Emergency Response team. The safety of your missionary is our upmost concern, and we have great faith that the Lord will keep us protected as we follow the safety guidelines that have been given to us.

Thank you for your prayers and concerns. We will send other emails out if there is any news with respect to this matter.

Thank you,

- President and Sister Hernandez

Inside Our Heaven

Our weekend was full of football, family, food and love!
It's a bit of heaven on earth, really.
Ryker had his first game of the season (officially).
He had a fumble recovery!
Cooper, Hudson and I were there to cheer him on!!
And Burke, of course.
Burke paces the concrete at the bottom of the bleachers every game.
Always has.

We had Hudson on Saturday.
He is getting way too big.
He kicks his legs, jabbers, drools, smiles, grabs at toys, and eats A LOT.

He has decided that he really likes the front carrier.
It was the only way I could really get him to sleep good and so that's what we did.

Sunday was amazing.
It was our family dinner night.
Tyler, Rian, Aria and Hendrix.
I got to meet Hendrix for the first time and cuddle him.
He's a little thing with lots of orange hair.

Braxton, Mia, and Hudson came back down and he cuddled right up in the front carrier!

Jackson, Isis, Kehlani and Delilah came.
That Kehlani and her glasses melt my dang Gigi heart!
Delilah is jabbering and smiling and she is just the sweetest baby ever!

Kehlani is needing more one-on-one time.
She LOVES her Uncle Cooper and he is oh, so good with her.

Colton and his girlfriend, Diana, came.
We see Colton pretty rarely.
He works nights and then spends time with friends and Diana.

Just a little piece inside our heaven.
