Good
morning all! The September weather seems to be perfect where you're all at..
it's still hot here. Hotter than normal.
This
week was good
My
companion finally got bit by a dog.. he's always trying to provoke them so i
guess he saw that coming
I
was reminded of a song this week as we tried to help as many people as
possible. The 3rd verse of, "Oh, Little Town Of Bethlehem" reads
"How silently, how silently The wondrous gift is giv’n!.....No ear may
hear his coming; But in this world of sin, Where meek souls will receive him,
still The dear Christ enters in."
This
reading of poetry has come to fill great meaning to me. I dont think ive ever
been in an area where the people have been so willing to forget what the Lord
has done for them. There are a lot less churches (usually there are tons) and
there are several bodegas where the majority of the city comes together. Its so
bad that its nearly impissible to pull any mokey from the bank because
everybody pulls money to drink.
It
can be discouraging to see what it makes me feel better about where im
standing. Not as comparison, instead as someone who at least makes efforts to
be better. Change is good.
Our
dear Lord is coming. The final objective of what im doing is to vring the
blessings of the temple to those who let God prevail in their lives. Those who
dont receive this sacred and essential ordinances when the Lord has come.. it
will become increasingly hard to qualify for the blessings of exaltation with
our Heavenly Father and our families.
"Go
forward and not backward. Courage, brethren; and on, on to the victory! Let
your hearts rejoice, and be exceedingly glad."
I
love you!
