Six Months and Three Months

Last Saturday, the boys and I went and babysat the boys. It was 11 hours of babysitting them and my boys were there the entire time, helping, changing diapers, feeding, burping, playing, laughing, watching Baby Einstein and loving on babies. They all made their schedules so that they could be there - doing that. I found that to be pretty dang impressive!!

Asher is six months old. He rolls all over the place. He is eating solids and LOVES sweet potatoes. He screams and squeals. He loves to be outside. He loves open-mouthed kisses with Auntie. He loves his bath time. He is the funniest, most spunky, feisty baby ever!

Anson is three months old. He is also rolling over. He loves his sleep! He is so chill, still. He is calm and alert and just the complete opposite of this big brother. Although, he also loves to be outside! He loves his swing. He loves to watch Baby Einstein with his brother.

We love these babies so, so much!!!

Baby Time!

Friday night, Jackson and Braxton met me at Uncle Brandon and Aunt Carrie's house to babysit the babes. As always, Anson was completely chill. Asher, not so much. Baby Asher was not very happy with the world. Poor little guy. We had to do lots of snuggles and bouncing and walking. Jackson and Anson just chilled and watched Baby Einstein.

Saturday night, we all met Uncle Brandon and Aunt Carrie at Farmington Station to get Baked Bear to celebrate this month of birthdays! The boys loved it!! We loved some more on these babes and laughed and talked. Brandon has been having talks with Jackson and Braxton about what they think they want to do after high school. Braxton is the tough one to get through to. I am so grateful that my boys have amazing uncles who are helping them to become great men.

Loving on The Babes

Tuesday night, I went from work to go love on these babes. Asher is 4 1/2 months and Anson is about six weeks. They are sleeping in the same room, now, which is pretty amazing because that Asher has got a loud cry! Asher is so communicative and he has attitude! Anson is so chill and just relaxed. He just goes with the flow. I was holding Asher and Anson was in the swing. Suddenly, Asher started telling me the saddest story with this lower lip out and everything. He was really sad that his brother was in the swing. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. These boys LOVE to sit and watch MTV Classic music videos. It's one of the funniest things I have ever witnessed! Asher just smiles and kicks his legs. Anson just stares at the TV.

Their mommy is healing up good and is looking a lot more happy and rested. She is doing a great job. I could seriously love on those boys for hours and have it not be long enough. They are such a blessing in our family!!

Four Weeks Old / Four Months Old

Oh, these boys! Anson is four weeks old. He is so calm, so relaxed, so chill. He is the noisiest sleeper I have ever heard. He has the longest arms of any baby I have ever seen. He is already trying to roll over! He is so sweet. He loves to cuddle and be in the swing. He is starting to lose the hair on top of his head. Poor kid... bad genes from his daddy!

Asher is four months old. He is feisty, loud, has the best giggles, busy, and has attitude. This kid is seriously hilarious. He and his daddy are both a little dramatic at times. It cracks me up. There is nothing like going over and him looking at me and just smiling and laughing and giving me the biggest open-mouth kisses. He loves music and Baby Einstein videos. He loves going on walks with his mama. I actually do suck on those cheeks of his. I can't help myself!!

That Baby

Asher missed his auntie while I was gone. I headed over to his house after I dropped Braxton off at work on Sunday, and we bonded most of the rest of the day. This baby is smiling and talking and drooling and laughing and getting so excited. He loves music, open mouth kisses with auntie, being outside, and watching movies. He's been a little sick the last week, or so. Poor little man.

I went over Tuesday night to help his mama and he and I had to take a little walk outside so that he could calm down. I seriously cannot get enough of this baby. Little Anson is also getting so big and is such a good eater and sleeper! I sat Anson up next to Asher on Tuesday, and Asher was fine until he noticed I was holding Anson, then he started to sad-cry. I picked him up with the other hand and he buried his head in my shoulder. He was a little jealous. Sweet boy!

Being an auntie is seriously the greatest right now! I am loving these babies so much!

Big Brother

Asher is a big brother now. His little brother was born in the early hours of Monday. He doesn't have a name yet, but he sure is a cutie!

When Asher was told that he is a big brother, this was his reaction!!

Baby Asher Time

Auntie and Braxton went to put Baby Asher to bed on Sunday night. That baby is just the best little thing ever. His daddy was just finishing up feeding him. Auntie burped him, then changed him, then loved on him. Baby Asher LOVES soundtracks. If you lay him down, he will watch MTV Classics and just smile at the TV. He is just like his daddy!

We cuddled and rocked. He went night night and Braxton drove us home. It was a pretty perfect way to end our Sunday!

A Chair for Asher

Kaydon made the most beautiful wooden chair for Baby Asher. Friday night, when I got home from work, Kaydon and Colton and I took it to over. It looks so amazing in Asher's room. I love that my boys love their cousin and are thinking of him. I also love that I get to love on him so much! I love that we live close and that I can just mug on those cheeks!

Baby Asher Update

Little Man is not sleeping so good at night. Auntie went and spent Friday night with him. He was fussy all night. He cried. I cried. We both cried. I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve... you know, after spending three years at Primary Children's with Kaydon... and after spending three years with a G.I. specialist in our family... but nothing worked with this little man. Auntie slept all day Saturday after going home. This little guy needs to start sleeping before his little brother comes next month!!

Baby Asher is Growing!

Baby Asher is growing so big! He has gained two pounds and has grown two inches. Is he not the sweetest little angel baby of all time!?

Auntie and cousins have been so sick, so we haven't gone over to love on him. Tomorrow, his other grandma and aunties get to go love on him. But next weekend, I'll spend a night with him and soak it up!!!

Auntie Time

Auntie spent time with Asher on Monday night. Asher didn't want to go night night for Auntie! Instead, he wanted to look around and coo and let Auntie kiss his face over and over and over again.

I am in love with this baby boy! And, I'm pretty sure he loves his auntie, too!!

Totally Worth It!

Yesterday, I hurried home. I had texted Carrie to let her know that I NEEDED to see my nephew. I haven't seen him for a week and a half. I have missed him so. Because of the short time-frame, I busted out the kettle bell and resistance bands and did my workout at home instead of jogging to the gym. It worked out just fine!

Look at that boy! Oh, Auntie loves him so much. We face-timed Uncle Logan and Uncle Skipper. Oh, how I love them too!!! Little Asher is growing out of his newborn diapers. He is so sweet. I burped him and then he pooped all over. I even like changing him! That little bum! We bonded for a while. He cooed and I just loved on him! Sweet, sweet baby!

Auntie Time with Baby Asher

Friday night, the boys and I drove to Farmington to meet Baby Asher. I was beyond excited. When I first saw him in his crib, I started to cry. What a blessing he is for our entire family! Colton held him for a minute - like a quick minute. As soon as he started to squeal, Colton was out!

Earlier on the day Friday, Nana was able to go up and meet him. I was so thankful that she was able to do this because she started another round of chemo yesterday. She is the bestest Nana ever!

Saturday, Carried texted me and asked me if I would come stay the night Saturday night so they could get some sleep. UMMMMM, YES!!!! Asher slept like the biggest boy. I was so glad to bond with him a little through the night. Sweetest dang baby ever! Auntie loves you, Asher!

Coming Home

Little Asher is coming home tonight! He and his mommy, along with Papa (my daddy) are flying home. To say I am excited is seriously the biggest understatement of all time. Of ALL time.

I could seriously just move my boys and I in to their house so that I can love on him all the time. Unfortunately, that's not really my role. I'm the auntie. I keep reminding myself of that. I have offered my night time services on Friday and Saturday nights because Angel Baby likes to be awake all night. I think that would be perfect bonding time for Asher and Auntie!

I called my dad last night to see how things were going. Asher had just peed all over his mama. Asher is SO aware and is almost always just staring at his mama's eyes. Asher's little brother, who is in his mama's tummy until May, kicks a lot more when Asher is on her belly. I bet his little brother is wondering why Asher got to come play on Earth first! I bet they are going to be a riot!!

I hope his cheeks don't get chaffed from this auntie kissing them constantly!!

I'm an Auntie!

Asher Dean Robb was born on Saturday in Arkansas. I am dying to meet him and love on him. Dying.

So, Brandon and Carrie tried for years to have a baby on their own. Carrie had four VERY bad miscarriages. The last one almost killed her. At that point, they decided that they would adopt. They began the process and then waited to be chosen by a most unselfish birth mama. Well, right after they found out that a little boy would be theirs in February, they also found out that they were pregnant! Carrie is due in May with another little boy. These two babies will be 2 1/2 - 3 months apart. How fun is that?!

Brandon will be coming home in a day or two. Carrie will stay in Arkansas with Baby Asher until all of the paperwork is done. Then, she will come home with their new little angel. I seriously cannot wait!

We love you Baby Asher. And, to your sweet birth parents: your unselfishness, love, and charity are something I have never before witnessed. As a mommy, I cannot fathom giving my baby to a family simply because I know they will be taken care of better than I could have. You are truly noble people. I pray for your comfort, your peace, your solace during a time that must be more difficult than I could ever imagine. Thank you for your gift to our entire family.
