Thank you, Snapchat

My boys were camping this weekend.
So, I was alone with my three year olds.
There were SIX of them.
ALL GIRLS.

Please take a moment and think about those facts.
SIX GIRLS.
And me.

Please take a moment to remember that I have boys.
I get boys.

So, six girls and me.
Please take a moment to understand that one of my girls is a runner.
As in - RUNNER.
So, she has to be on my lap at all times.
She actually won't sit anywhere BUT on my lap.
And, she has to be touching me at all times.

Another one of my girls really needs Teacher's attention and also needs to be touching me at all times.
Three year olds rarely know the Primary songs, and actually don't care about them in general.
So, often times whilst in the front row, we just get up and dance to the songs because - well, it's me.
I'm Teacher and that's what we do.

So Sunday, I handed one of my six three year old girls my phone and showed her the masks on Snapchat.
Then, after the thirty minutes with me and six three year old girls in singing time, I noticed that there were A LOT of saved pictures on my phone.
Like, A LOT.

Please take a moment to look at these three year old girls and see the JOY that I get to have for one hour every single week.
They are my sunshine when skies are gray.

Nature-ing for 75 Hard

I haven't hiked Adam's Canyon since the stroke.
It was NOT easy, but I totally did it!
I may or may not have cried when I got to the waterfall.
I DID!
I had to stop several times to get my body used to the elevation changes.
It was a perfect night.
The temperature was just right... I still sweat like a pig, but whatever.
The water was SO low, but still beautiful.
As we came back down out of the canyon, the lightening was beginning over the Great Salt Lake.
It was perfect.

Yesterday, after my second visit to the gym, we went on a drive up to Snowbasin.
Fun fact: they normally have Sunday outdoor concerts there through August.
They had one yesterday, but won't have anymore due to staffing shortages.
We didn't go into the concert; just hiked around the trails.
I have never been there and it was AMAZING.
The wind was blowing and the temperature was in the low 70's.

This is all really good because I've decided to start 75 Hard AGAIN.
I'm on day three and did my weights this morning at 5:30 am.
I can do this!

Winner!

I went to play Disc Golf last night.
I didn't win, but I ALWAYS win!
This is my amaze-a-balls trophy for being the non-winning winner!!!

My Visitor

When ANY of my kids show up to see me at work, it's automatically the best day ever!
This one needs a haircut, but is feeling his "ninja" vibes.
I'm fully supportive of his vibe.
However, I did ask if he would be cutting it prior to family pictures next Saturday...
I mean, we have a reputation to uphold.

I'm laughing hysterically as I type that!
We have no reputation to uphold.
We are a hot mess express!

Jack has been sick.
He blames me, as I've said, but I have not been near him.
In fact, we are all sick.
Sorry Kids that do live with me!

He is loving his job.
When he left, he informed me that he would be heading to a supplier...
And flirting with the front desk receptionist.
Perfect!

Dusty Dog

Meet Dusty.
Dusty is the dog of our mail deliverer kiddo, Elijah.
Dusty comes to pick up our mail each and every day with his owner and to get treats from each and every one of us at the City...
Literally.
Every office he goes to, he gets treats.
He is spoiled rotten.

I cannot tell you how many days he has actually healed my soul.
He is the sweetest.
The most loyal to his person.
Super skiddish of not knowing where his person is.
Just the sweetest kiss-giver ever.

And Dusty Dog.

Fitting It All In

Saturday was a day!
And by a day, I mean a WONDERFULLY CRAZY day!

I drove down to meet my T at Cheesecake Factory.
Yes, I ate all of this.
No, I never need help eating all of this.

Oh, how I've missed her.
It was so good to sit and laugh.
There was a young couple next to us.
The sweet girl said, "You two remind me of my mom and her friends!"
Suddenly, I felt REALLY old.
I love my T infinitely!
I raced home, took Kaydon some medicine and picked up this little love.
We went grocery shopping, car filler upping and car washing.
Then I got him some lunch and dropped him off at work.
That was our date because I have to fit everything in!

After that, I had an impression to check my dress pocket, where I had placed my debit card.
It wasn't there.
I RACED back to the car wash.
By a miracle (God), it was laying on the ground.
No one had pulled into that stall since we left.
It didn't go down the drain which it was laying right next to.
It was still there and unused.
I was ecstatically talking to God very loudly!

It was then gym time.
House cleaning time.
Laundry doing time.
Primary lesson readying time.
Grocery putting away time.
Then bed time.

And, that's how a single, working mama fits it all in.

Alone Time

I made a last minute decision on Friday to take myself to the Bee's double-header.
It started at 3:30.
After dropping Colton off at work, I drove down to Salt Lake.
The first game was pretty empty, so I headed to the shade just to the left of home plate.
I had my score cards and my drink and I was in my happy place.

The second game got pretty packed, but no one came to claim their shady seats, so I stayed where I was!
I knew I'd be leaving early since there were fireworks, but when it got to be a bit much with people and noise, I headed out in the fifth inning.

My boys have never loved me being alone.
They've never loved me eating alone or shopping alone.
When I told them I was going down to the game by myself, they were less than thrilled.
I've never minded going places alone.
Actually, I kind of like it.
And sitting at the ball park with my score card in hand - Heaven!
