What a Surprise!

I came into work this morning to a winter wonderland.
Victoria is SO creative.
I envy her creativity.
She is SO thoughtful, too.
She asked Xavier and I what we think of when we think about Christmas.. like what do we want...
I told her I just want to be surrounded by my family.
So, she surrounded me with my family!!!

It feels cozy and safe and brings me SO much joy!

Yesterday, the Huds was SO attached to Papa.
Everywhere Papa went, Huds went.

We've given him a broken remote.
He sometimes pretends he is changing channels, sometimes he pretends he's on his phone like Papa.

But, he always smiles!!!

Stuart Little No More

We have had another co-worker in our office for a little over a week.
Stuart Little.
Stuart has been taunting us every day.
Stu runs along desks, counter tops, behind filing cabinets...
Did you know that mice can climb sheer walls?
Crazy, right!?

We had a pest control mister come in last week.
He set 20 traps all over the office.
Stuart basically thought that was a cute idea...
He ate all of the peanut butter but did not get killed by the very boujie traps.

Mr. Watkins decided it was time to take matters into his own hands.
He and Beyta went and bought a bunch of the old fashioned traps.
They put Reeses peanut butter cups on them.

I got a call at 6:30 this morning:
"I need peanut butter. Bring peanut butter."

Then I got this.

I will be reading the eulogy.
Also, it appears there are more Stuarts.
The guys have now built a bucket of death and it's like the Pinewood Derby of mouse death around here.

Aloha

Porter, Cooper, and Ryker leave for Hawaii early tomorrow morning.
Their mom is getting married.
They'll spend a week in Maui.

I wish they were more excited for their adventures.
They've never been to Hawaii.
I know they'll have fun once they get there!!

In the meantime, I'll miss my morning pictures of Squirt heading off to school!
And my 20 hugs a day.
And my talks with Cooper about girls and football and new injuries from tripping on air.
And Porter talking about how he knows everything about everything. (he's almost 18. iykyk)

Cool Shots

Basketball season started the same week that football season was ending.
It's literally NEVER ending!
Ryker has been playing basketball with the same boys for years.
The team we played is the rest of his football team.
I love these boys.
I love their parents.
It's such a family!

I came out of the kitchen to find this...
Gus laying on the CLEAN clothes I had just pulled out of the dryer.
UGH!!!!

And, my new favorite shirt!
My Lisa made it for me and I LOVE it!

Girl Time

We had lots of girl time yesterday!
These girls are busy, animated, smart, and so fun!
Melanie Rose was most happy with Uncle Cooper and Papa.
Delilah mostly loves Gigi... unless Papa is there.
Kehlani is so busy, so independent, so smart!
These girls are getting so big.
We miss them!

Happy Halloween

Aria & Hendrix spent Halloween with their Nana.
Baby Chuckie & Tiff, with their victims.

Hudson spent Halloween with Papa & Gigi.
He was fascinated by the trick-or-treaters and Papa giving out candy!
He was the cutest little Mike.

Kehlani, Delilah, and Melanie spent Halloween with their Bompa & Lita.
Princess, Tiger, and Lion.
SOOOO cute!!!

Ryker went trick-or-treating with his bestie, Tripp.
I so wish I had taken pictures of them.
They came home with over 150 Pokemon cards!!!
Cooper hung out with friends.
So fun!

Hockey Night

Burke & I, along with the two youngest, went to the Utah Hockey Club game last night.
We were spoiled.
We were taken down the stairs (two flights of stairs) to a very fancy area.
We were given badges and partook in a huge buffet:
Shrimp
Prime Rib
Chicken
Twice Baked Potatoes
Vegetables
Fruit
Salad
Rolls

Then we were taken to the front row of the special-badge area.
It was right behind the net.
There was nothing between us and the glass.
It was pretty intense and it was VERY fun.

During each intermission, there were desserts and snacks back in the fancy room with the fancy things.
The boys loved it!

Ryker is in this stage where I actually have questioned if we should leverage his comedic talents to pay for his sports!

There was a man outside near this sign.
He was taking everyone's pictures.
He was SO nice!

And then...
Cooper drove us home.
No one was injured in the ride of our lives!
