Passionate Talks

I have been preparing two talks that I will be giving this month.
Both of them are going to be done in front of youth.
I am PASSIONATE about sharing my knowledge and experiences with people of all ages, but especially the youth.
I didn't love the Young Women's program.
I had moments when I liked it.
I had moments when I felt the Spirit and felt my testimony take turns and dips and climbs.
But, I didn't love it.
It was just one more place (six years worth) where I felt rejected, not valued, and invalidated.
In full disclosure, I had no idea who I was until I was 42.
I was a chameleon.
I was whoever I thought people wanted me to be.
That must have made it near impossible to connect with me.

I am passionate about helping the youth to KNOW that they are actual daughters of Heavenly Parents.
That isn't just something we say each week.
It isn't just something that is on posters in our house.
It is real.
I am passionate that they know they are loved by me, and safe with me.
I am passionate about them knowing that they are holy as they are.
I am passionate about them knowing that they were born for a time such as this.

I am fiercely passionate about sharing with them what I KNOW.
I am deeply grateful for my active recovery that allows me to have this passion.

Funny story:
Public speaking is quite literally the only thing I don't fear.
I can talk for days about my passion.
