This was our family chat on Monday when Kaydon called.
Jackson and Braxton were at work.
Colton was at the gym.
Mom had just left the gym.
Kaydon was in a very warm apartment with no electricity and no water in the Dominican Republic.
But... we were all together.
I will repeat with vigor - I could not have done the whole sending my children on missions and hoping to get a letter now and then gig.
If I couldn't see his face and hear his voice weekly, I'd choose Catholicism or Baptistism or something ism that didn't include sending my children to third world countries and not being able to see them and talk to them.
Lack faith much, Heidi?
It looks as though that's the case!
These boys are my everything.
I am so grateful for their experiences and trials and hurdles and their joys and victories!
I especially love hearing them talk things through with each other and lifting each other up when things are hard.
Kaydon's mission has been HARD on him.
He lacks joy on most days.
But, he's pressing forward.
This little magical bit of joy is B's granddaughter.
She's pretty much full of joy.
And Papa spoils her rotten.
And she knows that.
And she gives the best hugs!
This little bit of magic is staying with Gigi this weekend because Gigi needs Kehlani time.
Papa will spoil her, too.
That's just what he does.
