Good morning all! Everyone good? I know you are because this phone us overloaded with your emails... no its not
This week was much more simple than last. The highlight was our super simple baptism that we had, I didnt plan anything but decided that the members should do that and it was about as good as you might expect..
Leiry (who got baptized) spent these last couple months dropping coffee and dedicating herself to change through the Lords atonement. Every baptism that i have has shown me examples of great faith.
Now with almost 20 months in the mission I have learned more than anything how easy it is to go back to my own bad habits and routines. Even after following such strict rules and standards of conduct I'm convinced that the hardest thing for me to do is try to force myself to maintain these standards haha (because my life is so much better in my life than without)
So thanks to all those who've been baptized I know its possible to change. They did it and so can I. Jesus Christ was perfect and so will I be.
I also had a super cool exchange with one of the Elders here in San Juan named Elder Kerby whose super funny and loves to work! ...sorry just thought i'd mention him just cause i enjoyed that day
Also i saw some car yesterday pull up to a military check-point looking for Haitians crossing the borders.. but instead of Haitians being in the car they were Dominicans drunken with presidente alcohol with cups in there hands offering to the police who took one on duty.... it was the most illegal thing happen thats illegal in the states but not illegal here. That just tells some of you reading how law works around here (it doesn't)
Now to answer the title of the email, transfer news its coming up this Tuesday and i have no clue as to where im going or if im staying. After this transfer ill only have 4 transfers left haha which is about the time you spend in one area.
Please pray that Elder Goldfarb and I can find those who are ready for our message. Please pray that with what time we have we can continue bettering our lessons and invitations.
I love you. I love the Lord.
Elder
Jorgensen
