On Saturday morning, Nana drove up to bring us 14 pints of homemade honey from Lovell, Wyoming AND to bring Little Miss her new cape. Nana gave Kaydon a cape a few years ago and he still wears it often, as he pretends to be a warrior who is saving the world. Gosh, I love that kid! Brooklyn likes to "train" with Kaydon. Brooklyn can't adequately train with Kaydon without a cape. Duh! So, Brooklyn has been begging Nana to make her a cape. Saturday, Nana brought her the cape. Brooklyn and Kaydon "trained" for the rest of the day. She came in and told me that she had made it to "knighthood." Becoming a warrior takes a little more practice! ;)

Braxton's Getaway
One of the greatest blessings of our move to West Point is the friends that our kids have made. Braxton has never had good friends, or even friends that he spent a lot of time with. When we moved here, he met Blake. Jackson calls him Ba-Lock-Ay. Josh and I call him "Block Head." We call him that very lovingly and I better not ever hear anyone else call him that! Braxton and Block Head are inseparable. They are together every single day. Block Head's mom talked to Josh on Sunday and asked if Brax could go to St. George for the week with their family. Off they went. She sent us some pictures yesterday. These pictures make me so stinking happy! I love that our kids are able to make memories with good people who care about them almost as much as we do. I also love that he has such a great friend to go on adventures with!

All Aboard!
I put Jackson on Frontrunner this morning - headed to Sandy. Then, I went into my car and cried. Before he got on, I told him about stranger danger and to remember the ninja moves I have taught him over the years. I reminded him over and over that I love him and that it was going to be okay. The entire time, he was actually telling me that it was going to be okay! He is headed to Sandy to spend a week with friends. He is growing up and he is such a great kid. I'm so proud of him and the choices he is making. It's just crazy to think that he will be 16 in two months!
