Shaving Some Ice

I love my half days.
After the gym, I went to Colton's new job.
Colton shaves ice.
Mama eats said ice!

I sat in the sunshine and watched some videos while I waited for him to be off.
He is darling.
He is friendly.
He is helpful.
He STILL comes out and gives his mama hugs.
He is pure joy!!

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Hello everybody! Like always, I look forward to seeing how you all are! This week for sure had its ups and downs! Quite honestly I wouldn't have it any other way, otherwise there would be no growth.

Much of my week was a combination of things we could've done better and many things that invited the spirit into our presence and testified, even changed those we are teaching showing improvement in many aspects of our friends lives. However, there is much more work to be done.

As Elder Knight gets more accustomed to the area, he brings something new that has been needed including things that would steer them toward the blessings that will be received as they continue to come unto Christ.

Many instances consist of going into a lesson not knowing what to say or do as I had no idea how o help them behind where they were based on specific circumstances but as we go and talk to each of our friends we encounter something that was unknown before that could now be used to help them progress. An example of this is one of our friends named Jorgelin. Me and Elder Townsend had been talking to him for about a month maybe more and always say a situation of him, his partner Elizabeth whose studying into the testigos of Jehova, and their one infant child. However we discovered after many weeks of no progression that we needed to give Elizabeth more attention to see what her needs were and also find out that they had another 5 year old child that was kept from us because she'd been born with many deformities including special needs.

After blessing the daughter with her parents permission and focusing our efforts on Elizabeth, we left with Elizabeth telling us with no warning that even if Jorgelin does not come to church due to work that she would. What a difference! Such change and willingness to come unto Christ and accept his gospel is not easy but such blessings can be manifest as we allow new things, more importantly things that our Heavenly Father wants for us into our lives, we can become like him, and help others do the same.

I testify and am a witness of the love and help that Jesus Christ gives and has for his people. He loves you. He misses you. He wants you to come home to the presence of our Heavenly Parents. As President Russell M. Nelson says, "what I ask isn't easy", but if we are to return and live with our families forever we need to start today to make changes in our lives to live in accordance with the will of the one who loves you most.

I love you all, miss you tons and pray for you all.

Mama's Day 2022

Oh, these days are just the best!
The kids took me out to the ballgame.
Isis got to experience her first game!
And, Kehlani.
Ohhhhhh, this girl.
She lasted through eight innings!!!!

Each mom got a rose as we entered the ballpark.
Braxton went to get me a scorecard, but they aren't giving them out.
So, he talked to Tony Parks who was amazing.
Mr. Parks went above and beyond.
He went to the suites and got me a scorecard, a pen, told me that I'm always welcome in the "private" area near the pitching warmup area, and to find him before every game and he'll get me a scorecard.
Braxton shooked his hand and thanked him.

It was a perfect day, just missing my Kaydon SO much.
Kehlani was SO good.
She clapped and giggled and played with Uncle Kaydon.
She drew on my scorecard and I didn't even flip out!!
 I'm the luckiest ever!

We Made a Difference

Yesterday was Make a Difference Day.
This picture is from May of 2017's Make a Difference Day.
I spy with my little eye my P, wearing safety orange, and I eating lunch with some of my guys.
I used to love Make a Difference Day with P.
We'd drive around, delivering drinks and snacks to our guys.
We'd help with different projects.
We'd eat lunch.
AND, I'd get some Farr's ice cream!

This year, I stocked up on caffeine and my Caroline and I weeded out front of our building.
I can barely move today, but we made a difference!

I am missing my boys being little so much lately!!

Isis posted this picture of Lady Cakes this morning.
Oh my goodness is she a gift!!!
She is the star of every show on every dang day!

And speaking of gifts...
My sweetest Anne dropped off a baggie full of gifts for me on Sunday.
I cried.
A lot.
I am just SO blessed!

Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan & Dominican Republic Santiago West Mission

Good Morning all! I very much, like always, hope your doing well, and had a great week!!

Starring off hot with transfer news! Transfer btw are every 6 weeks and fly by so fast I'm in awe that it's May already! What!?! But this past Transfer was the first time I had completed an entire Transfer out in full without having to travel or coming out in the middle of the Transfer and It still felt pretty quick as I push and push for the work out here in the carribean to flourish.

Unfortunately Elder Townsend had left after 2 transfers together and I was given Elder Knight whose on his last 2 transfers of his mission and is still willing to keep up with me as I still continue to learn even after hitting 6 MONTHS yesterday! But Elder Knight is a great missionary but still is willing to get better even after all the fime he has had learning in the field which gives me hope that I won't be perfect in their language even 22 months out.

When he got here to the area I did my best to show him what kind of missionary I was so I set him to the ropes and he's loving it and with all the work that I put us to we're both exhausted at the end of our days and am both so grateful it's p day!

From the time Elder Knight hot here on Wednesday to now I have never taught L2 (the Plan of Salvation) so much! With all the people we teach and families that we find here I used to think that teaching fue planning planning Salvation was the hardest to teach but now it for sure brings me more joy and helps with spanish a ton as I practice speaking in moth past tense, future tense, and now experimenting Subjunctive which doesn't exist in english but I'm finding it easy to use, just a matter of triggers and the different words specifically used for them, depending on the verb.

But as I teach the plan of salvation I have grown to appreciate the plan so much more in my life as our goal and pur Heavenly Father's goal is for each of us to return to him. Simple right? Well, as it turns out, it is pretty simple, I has become a true or false question to each of us asking if you want to live with your family forever. As it turns out usually always people tell us yes. And my personal answer to that exaxtly what my MTC teacher told me which was that Heaven is not Heaven without my Family. And that is an eternal true I hold very dear to my heart, which is Heaven is not Heaven without my Brothers, Sisters, their children, Mother, Father, and each and every other members that I've been so blessed to be a member of.

This week alone I had the privilege to look to children in their eyes and tell them without lie that they will see there families again. (13 year old girl that she would see her Dad) (and 10 years old boy that he would see his Mommy again) it is true. It was true when I told them, and it's true now and all throughout eternity. Families can and will be together forever as we follow the gospel of Jesus Christ and number ourselves with His church with his given authority albe to baptise and bring us together in unity and happiness in temples.

I love you all. That love for you all keeps me put here because I know others can experience that love too.

Till next time!
